@CHEhopeful‌ OMG so excited for you! Looks like you are very close to being excepted.
Just put in a lot of time and effort into it and I am sure it will show! GOODLUCK!!

I have no idea what to say or what they’re looking for lol :frowning: I think I’m going to start with making an actual timeline for them, and then explain how working with a certain group of kids really inspired me and piqued my interest in HD.

@CHEhopeful‌ : If it helps, when they asked me about the change, I breifly mentioned high school and what went wrong, but moreso focused on what went RIGHT in college. They don’t need an exact play-by-play of everything you’ve done since HS, just whatever event, epiphany, etc. made the big difference. Again, good luck!

@happyfeet123 I got my acceptance call last Thursday and was able to see my decision on the apply yourself website on Tuesday. Still haven’t received the welcome packet in the mail.

@CHEhopeful‌ I’d say that sounds like a very good sign  obviously they’re considering you if they want some additional information this late.

thank you @shockastrika83‌

Ian said my decision would be sent “in a day or so” and it has been 2 days so I am hopeful I will find out tomorrow!

meanwhile, at the college of engineering… still haven’t seen one acceptance. @amos2014 welcome to the waiting game.

@Amos2014, me and another girl also go to UCSD currently.

Hey guys, I am a sophomore transfer here from CA. So I just knew that I got Dean’s Honors at my current college. Would you guys suggest me send this little additional info to Cornell? Or is it too late since a lot of decisions have been made? (I posted this earlier but it was drown in the merriment of acceptances…)

@stephenfuuuuu It definitely wouldn’t hurt if you tried. They are probably receiving hundreds of emails every day and will assume you are asking about your admission decision. You never know though, you might as well just tell them! It ain’t over till the fat lady sings!

@katietransfer‌ Thanks for replying! I am a COE applicant, so I am really not sure about where they are in the engineering transfer admission process since a lot of decisions are not out yet.

@genheals2‌ I got mine 2 days ago and got rejected :’)

@orcawhales I’m sorry to hear that :frowning: How did you hear from SHA (was it an email or by mail?) I’m sure you’ll do great wherever you do decide to go!

@stephenfuuuuu Even if this was the LAST day that they are working on decisions, it’s worth it. You never know what might push you one step further. Plus, they like to see students actively contacting admissions. It proves their interest in comparison to other students applying.

Hmm…I’ve been writing my response to Cornell’s request for more info about my gap, and I’m starting to wonder if they just lost all of my essays due to whatever Common App problem they’re having…I feel like I covered all of the questions they’re asking me pretty clearly in my original application, so I’m not sure whether to include and emphasize info I already told them in those essays or not. I mean, they would tell me if they simply couldn’t access my essays, right? So I should just explain everything in more detail, and more clearly? Do you guys think it would be okay if I answered each of their questions individually and numbered them instead of writing a whole essay? Because that’s the only way that I can see to make everything seem clearer to them (my history is pretty long and extremely complicated).

In short: HELP!!

@katietransfer‌ Yeah I was worried cuz I have contacted them a couple times before for adding additional information and it could be annoying doing this more. Anyways, I sent them a message last night and got a response this morning saying that it’s added to my file!

@CHEhopeful‌ they may be having a problem with the essays. Although I think that would’ve caused a much bigger issue across the board. I got a call from ILR literally 2 days before they accepted me asking me about what happened in high school and why I went to a CC instead of a 4-year school. I explained that in extreme detail in my commonapp essay shrug I wouldn’t fret too much about it.

Explanation sent! And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming…

@luc425, where are you applying to? The college of engineering is so procastinate…
