never thought id be waiting this long 8 more days.
@andom111 i doubt it would matter (assuming you would have enough units to transfer still) i was able to drop one of my classes in exchange for another one, and both of them were not major prereqs
lols you could always call/email admissions for insight first before making the decision to drop the class
@BCtoSB I’m a 'Gade too is why I was asking. B-)
@akfieldhockey Did you begin college before Fall 2013?
@MaMoi77 I started college in 2011 is that why its taking so long ?
I started college in Fall of 2013… went to UOP for 1 and 1/2 years… then one community for winter session, and am currently attending 2 diff community colleges
does that affect how my application is processed??
@decisionpending Nope, I just had a TAG question for akfieldhockey.
@akfieldhockey I was asking because at my CC we had to lock in the TAG application before the end of September of the year before the Fall admission we were applying for. Then if our TAG application was accepted we just had to comply with every component of the TAG contract with the TAG’d UC to guarantee our admission to that UC. It seems like the minimum GPA for TAG admission rises every year. That is why UCSD dropped their TAG program, when the TAG minimum GPA rose to 3.8 there no longer was any advantage incentive, since the TAG eligible applicants were highly competitive on their own merits.
Ohh okay. Well I mean I changed a couple classes from my TAG to better suit the major I applied for so… fingers crossed! @MaMoi77 Also I was reading somewhere that admissions people separate decisions into three piles, yeses, nos, and maybes. The definite yeses and nos will hear back first, and the maybes will be notified last because some people decline their acceptance and also so they can be compare applicants with other maybes I guess… So not sure if that’s a good thing or bad thing. If this is true at least Im not a definite no…
also if like if you’re still pending… starting to get a little lonely on this forum… Lol. I’m so lame.
oh nice i just got in ! Best of luck to all that are still pending
Just declined my admission, hope that helps someone!

@UCorBust93 UCSB doesn’t have a waitlist for transfers. You’re either accepted or rejected. Also don’t fret; I actually went to the UCSB admissions office in person today since I just live a few blocks away, and they told me they were still not done with reviewing all the applications.
@ARandomPerson1 Thanks for that comment… I was beginning to freak out as well. @UCorBust93 we have a total of 7 more days… They cant avoid us forever!! lol

Comments: It has been a long road…literally. I’ve had to work full time for the past 11 years out of high school and I was dismissed 3 times from two colleges because of the fact that I had to give my work priority. Straightened out my priorities and after years of working and going to school, its finally happened. I can finally study what I want to study. I feel blessed to be given the chance to attend somewhere even with a rocky past. I always thought that it would hold me back, but God is great. For those of you who think that because of your past you can’t do what you want, look at my academic past, its atrocious, but with hard work anything is possible, anything! Always reach for the stars! Dream big!
Hey Gauchos, a spot just opened up in Poli Sci, I’m choosing Berkeley.
