If you take the AP courses on FLVS, will the state still pay for the exams?

FromNorCal - Sorry, your username didn’t register in my head. Hope you get through.

IceQube - LOL is this AP Env Sci?

Kandiishyummy - FLVS pays for the exams. You won’t have to pay for them.

It is, and those scores are hypothetical. That’s what makes it even more racist.

It was trying to show how not answering questions would hurt your score … since there is no guessing penalty now …

how does it work? do you just register for the exam and they pay right away or what?

Are Honors and AP courses on FLVS easier than real school? Do you still learn a lot as long as you don’t cheat?

I remember reading something about you having to get something signed to verify that you actually took the exam and then you get reimbursed for the portion that you pay. Ultimately you pay $0 I believe, but I’m under the impression that you have to front some of it.

Kandiishyummy - All that SeekingUni said is correct, although I talked to one of the guidance counselors and they said the exam is free. FLVS pays for everything. You have to verify that you took the exam in order to get the AP credit. I think it’s explained in one of the Webinars they have. You can also call FLVS to verify.

shakeitupsonia - In all the Honors classes that I have taken, I have gotten A’s in them, without cheating of course. So as long as you learn the material, you should do fine. It should come easy to you because you have access to a teacher almost all the time, unlike traditional school, where the teacher can’t really focus on one student at a time.

I actually spoke to one of the flvs guidance counselors this morning. They give you a sheet of paper to take to the school you will test at and the school signs you up and pays, and the paper explains to them that flvs will reimburse the costs.
so, its complete free to the test taker.

good thing they pay for it considering their courses cost about $800 each :O

AP Spanish Language?

AP STATS - need advice
How tough is this course really? For a student who is not super strong in math (B/A in honors courses - ALG/TRIG/GEO
Can it be done?

I just started AP Comp Sci. I’m honestly not sure what to do though; I got the login email & information this morning but what do I do next? Is there an orientation with my instructor or something? Any help would be appreciated.

i believe you just login and click on the course title.

You are supposed to log in and see the list of course(s) you have, if you have not been activated in to your class, you need to receive a contact call from your instructor, or you can perhaps reach out to the instructor. Afterwards, it’s a matter of just clicking the class course and cruising through.

Uh what is FLVS?
