<p>I know that Keasbey Nights was able to do that and he got a 5 on the exam. So it is definitely possible. If you finish the course over the summer, just make sure to review the material in April up until the exam to refresh your memory. It’s also best to do some practice exams so you can become familiar with the AP Exam format.</p>

<p>You would still be able to AP Micro/Macro next year, even if you do honors. It’s just like doing Biology Honors, then taking AP Biology after that. The AP Courses just go into a bit more depth than the honors courses.</p>

<p>Hello, I’m considering taking AP Human Geography, AP US History, and AP Spanish Language through FLVS next year as a junior in high school. Can someone tell me how each of these classes is through FLVS (I’m taking them with FLVS)? Like how hard or time consuming they are, how many assignments, and how well they prepare you for the AP exam? Thanks! :)</p>

<p>Not a new topic, but as I am about to finish Ap art history I thought I would provide a little insight on the class. In my opinion, and this may be because it was my first online course, art history is not a course that anyone can move fast in, but you should definetly earn a high grade and high ap test score. </p>
<p>There are 10 segments, each of which cover alot of material. The assignments are largely essay based (2 short essays,1 long, 1 disc. post/short essay, 1 quiz(hardest part of class in my opinion), 1 short response(“medium essay”), and one disc. call per unit). The class content is not in its own right too difficult; my grade has never fallen below a 97, and would be a 100 were it not for the quizzes. Nevertheless, without writing a single note, just by reading over every slide and properly writing the essays, I find my self getting easy 5’s on practice tests. </p>
<p>My only piece of advice, don’t get discouraged by the mult. choice questions on the quizzes because they are by far harder than the actual ap questions. This may be a personal issue, but I have yet to recieve a perfect quiz score(over 80% done with the course), and yet I’ve done practice ap tests and found myself going 25-35 questions before getting an answer wrong (excusing the content I haven’t reached yet).</p>
<p>Long story short, the course is very pattern oriented, and can become boring even if you enjoy art. There are nearly 100 assignments and 90% are essays. Nevertheless, given that essays make up such a large portion of the grade and you can resubmit them for regrading, no one should really have trouble earning a 97+. Despite the boring factor, I would definately reccomend this class to others. As I mentioned without a single note it is shocking the amount of knowledge retained just by reading flvs’s incredibly detailed notes. In my online apush course from a different provider, I find myself only reading the text book and going straight to assignments. In my Flvs course, I haven’t opened my textbook, and don’t plan to. </p>

<p>Hey I have a quick (kinda dumb) question… When you sign up for FLVS do you have to let your counselor/school know right away?? My counselor isn’t the most helpful and I doubt she’d allow me to take classes online… On the registration form I don’t see a place where your counselor signs but then how would they know about you taking the class?? I realize they would have to find out about it eventually if it were to count towards your GPA, but if I just went ahead to register anyways without them knowing would they be able to stop me?? </p>

<p>How long do the essays take? Is it possible to write two or three essays in a day? How long would it take to get through the course if I worked on it 2 or 3 hours a day? How is the teacher? </p>

<p>Quick 2 questions: even if your school doesn’t give credit for the courses taken in FLVS, can you still take it? I know it may be a dumb question, but it seems like everybody’s courses are counted towards their GPA.</p>
<p>Also, it says that they give official transcipts in May after verifying that we took the AP exam. Is it possible to get like an unofficial transcript during the school year that just shows what course you are taking? Thanks :)</p>
<p>If we finish a FLVS course way before the AP exam in May, what do we do for the time in between? Do we prep/review on our own until May so we retain all the knowledge?</p>
<p>So I’ve taken AP Biology on FLVS, and we have a love/hate relationship.</p>
<p>The first segment was challenging for me. I hated it and was so far behind on it. I didn’t finish on time at all, and I can’t tell you one thing I was supposed to learn from it. I do know it went over polymerization, a chemistry review, Mendel and inheritance, enzymes,and many other things. I hated the labs, and I still do. They were very challenging for me and I hate doing them. I finished with a B in the course.</p>
<p>The second segment is much better in my opinion. I have an A at the moment,and I’m almost finished with it. The topics are much more interesting. We discussed Keystone Predators, Taxonomy, and went over the respiratory and circulatory systems along with other things.</p>
<p>Overall, the course is a lot of reading and time. If you like this subject you’ll do great. However, I hate science so it’s hard for me to get motivated.</p>
