**Official Georgetown University Transfer Thread 2009**

I would just like to throw it out there that I am also in Pittsburgh, Duquesne University. I do not hate Pittsburgh, it just isn’t exactly the greatest place to be when majoring in IR.

no body heard back today?

just to post the chat site again:

[Georgetown '09 Transfer chat - Home](http://jedimasterham.webs.com/)

So any tentative dates for SFS results?

Heard through the grapevine its May 10th for tentative acceptance/rejection. Good luck all.

You took two courses at UNC and six at Pitt? How did you take 8 full college courses at the same time? Is that even possible?

The two courses at Pitt were two years ago, during my senior year of hs

Lol, May 10th is Sunday.

Hey man, I relayed what I heard.

Fall 2008 Enrollment
Undergraduate Graduate Professional Total
5,330 2,896 7,092 15,318

Fall 2008 Undergraduate Enrollment

Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service (1,302)
School of Nursing and Health Studies (546)

since so many people have already heard, i’m wondering if its just the rejections they haven’t yet sent out. Are there any transfers that have received rejections yet? It sounds like only acceptances and waitlisted students

I don’t think any transfers have posted rejection decisions to this thread yet. It could be because people don’t want to post it or because they are simply not members of CC.

that could be it, although all the first years posted accepted or not. Maybe the transfers having had to wait so long…
I read the waitlist thread and a lot of them got call backs last week to see if they were still interested. I dont know if thats good or bad, but I would think they have already made decisions before they go back and fill up the rest with waitlisted students, or it could be the other way around. There were a couple of MSB waitlisters that got in over the last couple days

sorry for the delayed response
when I called the Gtown office last week, they referred me to Leah Thomas
if it makes any difference, i’m a chem major, incoming sophomore
still haven’t heard though. but i’m 2 for 2 so far, maybe my luck will carry me through undefeated

I just got in guys!! Hopefully I will be seeing you guys late this summer for the Transfer orientation!!

Congrats! Where did u apply to? What is the deadline for the deposit??

rejected from the college today, but will be joining the class of 2012 at vanderbilt next fall after spending my first year at trinity college (CT). congrats to those accepted

how did you guys hear?
did you call/email early or did you get actual letters?

Emailed the counselor last week explaining that I would appreciate if I could get a ‘likely’ decision via email by May 5th as I need to deposit at Vandy by May 10th.

i applied to the College. Anthropology major.

I don’t know the deadline, I just emailed and they emailed me back saying that I am “likely for admission” (or at the least waitlist).

Good luck to everybody! Even if it is not gtown, you will end up somewhere that you will feel most comfortable! See some of you in the Fall (or better yet, late summer)!
