**Official Georgetown University Transfer Thread 2009**

Nonna, thanks for the encouraging words. Rejected from SFS - even being top 10 in my college class, 2240 SAT, good essays and good recs.

I really regret not applying to “better” schools because I know I deserve it… as of now heading to USC. We’ll see if Columbia waitlist turns out to be anything.

CONGRATS to those accepted. Change the world  As for the rest of us, we can study IR/Econ/Poli Sci elsewhere and still succeed!

Rejected.SFS

rejected SFS
I just wish they could have told me sooner. that’s a bit frustrating

got my rejection friday from msb

For those of you who were accepted, I am visiting campus on wednesday. Any idea of what I should do or who I should talk to?

P.S., im SFS

eih5: considered taking the informational tour?

I too am happy to be waitlisted, and just pray to God that some people who got accepted turn them down to make room for us.

eih5, how the hell did you get into SFS? lol

I got rejected to SFS as well. #$@#@^#^#@!! Will try for next year.

Does anybody know the chances of getting off of the waitlist??

depends how many people yield. might be 0% if too many people yield. also it depends on each individual school

I was accepted at SFS, and planned on going if financial aid could help me out. But, no such luck, and due to the fact that I want to pursue graduate school later, I have to painfully turn it down and take a full-tuition scholarship offer somewhere else. Hardest decision of my life, ever.

But… the good news is that someone from the SFS waitlist will get in now!! So don’t lose hope… keep on waiting… and good luck!

Anybody who got waitlisted hear back yet?

I haven’t heard anything.

heard from the extended waitlist today. finally rejected.
but its all good. charlottesville, here i come!!!

anyone trying again this year? aha

new to this thread but i think i might go out for it this year…i’m a junior now but looking to switch majors and not sure my school has what i need.

I to have not heard anything from Georgetown in regards to my alumni interview. I am applying as a transfer and although it is not required it would be nice to have to opportunity to meet and sell myself. What are some of the schools of which everyone is applying to?
