<p>Just called, extremely nerve wracking, but they said I was still on the waiting list and I will hear within the next month or so, but it could be longer and that the decision will either be accepted or denied, no extended wait list option like this one, so sounds like I am in the 2nd and final group. Hope this helps anyone wondering, and that if you are accepted you will be called before a letter is received, and if you receive a letter with no call the guy said that will mean you are rejected. Good luck everyone!</p>

<p>You’ll get through the denial process. You’ll also succeed at your chosen college/university. Make the most of your undergraduate years!</p>
<p>My student was denied. Headed to a school with a top program in her intended field, on full tuition scholarship, so H was not her best placement anyway, but good luck and best wishes to those who found it a good match. For the rest of you, there are many other paths to your life goals, and persistence (and your obvious intelligence and talent if you got this far) has much more to do with eventual success than a name on a sheepskin.</p>

<p>Just got the mail and no letter yet. This is so nerve wracking since my s will not call-----he is better at waiting than I am. As I was reading today’s postings, I see that waiting this way for no letter can take longer than I thought. Congrats to all that know they are still on the list and congrats to all that can move on and be just as excited now that they know where they will go. This will all seem so silly in September when you are all happily walking a campus. It really has been nice to do this waiting with the parents and students on this site.</p>

<p>hi all, sorry i haven’t been on (commencement rehearsal ahh). i attend a private boarding school in massachusetts, i asked about numbers and they didn’t provide them, and i just asked if i could check on the status of my application… they ask you for you name and address and date of birth and then tell you.</p>
<p>my application status does not work, and i still get incorrect access code when attempting to log in to the harvard admitted students site.</p>

<p>Seems like the “wait-even-longer” waitlist must include quite a few. If you don’t call you don’t know if that rejection letter just hasn’t arrived yet or if you are in Round 2 of Waiting. I do appreciate this small token of help, that you can call today. </p>
<p>Too bad we can’t know how many the waitlist contains. Odds seem worth thinking about at this point, but we aren’t helped with that. Limbo limbo limbo…</p>

I liked how the lady on the phone pretended not to know how many people were on the original wait list.</p>

<p>Yes, I was officially rejected. I have always wanted to go to Harvard, but in a lot of ways I think it may be a better match for me. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone on this thread…you all have been so supportive and helpful!

<p>asymmetric, i think we had the same representative. she used the word “rejected” first and then said, “unfortunately, we cannot offer admission.” </p>

<p>OK, guys. This is also my good-bye to your company. Daughter called, and she is denied further consideration. She is heading for Cornell, which she loves. As I always felt that Harvard was my choice, not hers, it is probably for the better.

<p>My cousin attended Cornell and LOVED it. He couldn’t have imagined going to school anywhere else. He had his choice of 3 top schools and he chose Cornell. </p>

If I don’t get into Harvard I will be with your daughter at Cornell! It’s an amazing place and really has a lot of advantages over Harvard. Congrats on being done with this insane process.</p>
