Thank you guys! I’m listening to Chance the Rapper to get me hyped lollllllllllllll. It’s actually working to make me less nervous hahahhaa

findingneema - Wishing you the very best.

I’m so pumped for Friday, even if I do get deferred. I just wanna wish all of you guys luck with this process. You guys are really a deserving bunch of students and I’m pretty sure we’ve all worked so hard to get to this point!

Think happy thoughts–wherever life takes us will be the place we are meant to be.

Best wishes to each of you!! I peruse this forum and a lot without ever really posting much, but I really wish I could get to know you guys! (Not like personal info, ya know) But what are some of you guys’ interests (besides school and stuff)? What do you all do when you’re not posting on or browsing through CC?

I love love clothes so I’m usually making clothes! I go to thrift stores and stuff and get old high waisted jeans and fabrics and stuff like that and sew a bunch haha. What about you?

If anyone needs a reminder:

I really like food. Like a lot. I also like baking, so if I get I’ll reward myself with an apple pie this Friday. And I love dancing, but just for fun, not seriously. And of course, the usual stuff, basketball, reading, etc.

@finding: Great choice! Acid Rap is definitely one of my favorite albums of the year.

Incredibly stressed. I have a college math final tomorrow, and I haven’t started studying yet (busy with a ton of other homework). Might just have to pull an all-nighter…

And, of course, I’m extremely nervous for Friday. I’ve been waiting years for this, and suddenly, it’s so close.

For those of you who have gotten calls what was the number?

Just noticed I’ve been letting a Cambridge number (1-617-452-3652) go to my voicemail for 3 days…

how about this for a radical idea: Check your voicemail

Really, T26E4? I’m not a regular poster in this thread, but come on. Hurricane is probably stressed enough.

New phone provider, so there’s some access code that I don’t know…

Thanks for the sarcasm, but while I may not get into Harvard I can assure you that I at least know how use a phone (radical, huh?).

@hurricane that’s not the number that called me but that’s definitely admissions, so you should call them back tomorrow!

And ahhhh @studious!! Acid Rap makes my life so possible haha.

P.s. I think the phone interview went rather well! We talked for about 45 minutes and she was really nice!

Seconding what Mocean said. Seemed a little harsh and kind of unnecessary.

Take T26E4 with a grain of salt regarding his cynicism and sarcasm, everyone. He/she also disparaged me the other day for speculating whether my application had received a final review yet, heaven forbid I speculate on a message board?! As a “Senior Member” who joined this forum when the good many of us were in 5th or 6th grade, he/she lacks the empathy required to treat us Harvard hopefuls with compassion.

Also, @findingneema: did you have an interview prior to this? I’m trying to ascertain why some people are getting phone interviews…

I did not have an alumni interview. I am really trying to not overthink all of this, but I’ve come to the conclusion that I got a phone interview b/c they’re trying to make a decision about my application but are really on the fence!

Ah, I see. It’s good that they gave you an opportunity to show a new perspective of yourself, for whatever reason that may be! Well, best of luck, Neema! I hope it goes your way Friday! :)

ckfy63a: Yeah, I get really annoyed when certain Senior Members (some bitter parents perhaps? JK we love ya!) think they have the right to be blatantly rude to people on CC. It gives us SM’s a bad name

@findingneema, I tried calling the number a few times and got nothing. We have a lot of telemarketers calling us from Massachusetts, and I had an alumni interview, so I doubt it’s them.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway, and good luck to all you guys!

@findingneema, I’m glad that your interview went well! I think I might be on the same boat as you, in that they let me send additional information in last Friday so I think they might be on the fence about me as well. We can only hope for the best! :)
