Yes, my portal changed like more than two hours ago. I now can’t log in. It’s practically closed for me and the only message that I can see is,

"Thank you for your interest in Harvard College and your participation in the Class of 2018 early action admission process. We do not post our early action admissions decisions online.

Early action decisions will be e-mailed to the address on record Friday, December 13 at 3:00pm EST.
Letters to admitted applicants will be mailed that morning."

it doesnt say that on my status page…? and doesn’t Harvard send out its decisions every year on a thursday?? cuz if you dont receive an email they tell you to call the next day… and well they wouldnt say call if the next day is sat. cuz no ones working… right??? aaaaahh sorry i just really want the decision!!!

Supernova, don’t you think that your reaching a point that one might call neuroticism? I understood the 13th v 12th argument, but it’s just two hours haha. And, how would anyone know for sure? I don’t mean to be mean, just saying, it’s going to be ok.

Guys, I believe they discussed this last year. I think some portals just close after others, but it is no indication of acceptance/deferral/rejection. Eventually, it will close for everyone.

No, definitely not. I think it will be closed for everybody regardless of the results after a few hours or so. It’s just closed for some earlier.
Also, it says,
“Current regular decision and transfer applicants please note:
Application status checking will resume the morning of December 14, 2013.”
So I guess it’s closed for the regular applicants too.

Did these portal closed pick “Decision by E-mail?” as “No”? The portal clearly stated that “All decisions will be emailed to the email address provided on your application form. Early Action applicants who wish to update their email address, must do so by midnight on December 11”. If they closed the portal for some of applicants who want update their email address before midnight tonight, then what can they do? Broken promise? Harvard wouldn’t do that, right?

Guys, the portal says that it goes down at midnight on December 11th. As far as I can tell, no part of the US has hit midnight yet so it’s perfectly normal if the portal is still up.
I’m freaking out too guys, but this is just something silly not to worry about~
(PS: 3 PM? That’s crazy! I’ll be leaving school and finding out at the same time!!)

guys,… midnight is the the first second of the new day. The time to update your email has passed in the entire United States (or should have passed, at least).

I still have access to my portal, and part of me wants to believe that means I was deferred. That would give me a little more time to ease into reality before it’s explicitly stated.
