Mine hasn’t changed… Perhaps because it isn’t midnight EST yet, and I’m on the east coast?

Hahaha I know that this is a really pointless argument (which now I’m suddenly confused on), but this is what I’m going by: [meaning - How should “midnight on…” be interpreted? - English Language & Usage Stack Exchange](<a href=“meaning - How should "midnight on..." be interpreted? - English Language & Usage Stack Exchange”>meaning - How should "midnight on..." be interpreted? - English Language & Usage Stack Exchange)

Besides, if admissions had somehow let slip for the past two years now that we could find out our decision days before, you’d think they would have changed their methods…

yes, the deadline to update your email has passed. My status login hasn’t changed and I’m very worried.

Did a lot of international applicants get interviews? I’m wondering about the process, and we might as well discuss something to keep us away from freaking out

I got an interview

@balletgl, your post makes sense. It must be the time zone issue. Now, everybody should be relieved.

@AnnaTheGreat, you got an interview? when? today?

Being an international, I didn’t get one (that’s the main reason why i’m almost 100% sure that i will get either deferred or rejected…)

If it makes any difference, Harvard’s automated reply took around 30 minutes to respond.
Not sure how congested their portal/servers are.
(this was a few minutes ago)

Well, I’m going to not freak out. And, as I said, similar things happened last year and everyone freaked out and it ended up not meaning anything. Isn’t there some quote? “Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself.” Calm down, guys. Obviously not all of us will get in, but whether or not our portals are closed has nothing to do with it.

Change your computer’s date-time to be on Thursday, and your portal should close.

Thus, nothing to do with decisions.

Calm yourselves.

About two weeks ago. Not now lol

Yeah, I always interpreted the “midnight on the 11th” to mean that tonight, on December 11th, at 11:59 PM, we’d be able to access the portal and then once it hits midnight, it’ll close.

I don’t think it’s tied to your decision. Like someone said, the people at Harvard are smart. I don’t think they’re going to basically let people know whether or not they got in a full 46 hours BEFORE they’re releasing decisions.

@asdf:
…are you a wizard?

In other news, it does close and say 3:00 PM EST on Friday. c:

So is it a consensus dec 13th release? or is there a chance for tomorrow? (I know we never know, but is anyone for sure?) This is crazy guys! Good luck to you all! Hopefully some of will meet at Harvard!

i’m int’l. i got an interview. they assign most interviews based on if there are alums near you. so if u didn’t get one it doesn’t mean anything.

asdfasdfraw: Nope, didn’t happen for me.

Bravo askfasdfraw, acute deduction

If your computer clock currently reads “December 12,” go to the portal site and it will say December 13 at 3pm.

If your computer clock currently reads “December 11,” change it to the 12th, and go to the portal site, where it will also tell you to await an email at 3pm.

Magic :-)

thanks kontiki & phlog haha, hopefully deduction enough to get in ;)

Oh boy do I feel stupid
Nice work askfasdfraw, you’re worthy of getting into Harvard!
