Official Harvard SCEA Class of 2018 applicants thread

I would go by Harvard time, which is currently 9:30pm DEC. 11.

thank you asdfasdfraw :))))

Guys i am so *ing scared i have an ap bio test from 1:00-1:40 and decisions come out at *ing 3:00 screw everything

THAT SHOULD BE ALL IN CAPITALS

wait is this for the portal where we see whether everything’s been sent in? i changed my comp’s date to the 12th and nothing happened

lol Does EVERYONE have AP bio tests in the next few days? Mine is tomorrow - such a nuisance of a test.

domestic applicant here, it worked for me - you also have to restart your browser/delete cookies/open an incognito window so it logs you out

@prospector mine’s on BOTH photosynthesis and cellular respiration. a ****ing HOUR before decisions are released. seriously this school just likes toying with people’s emotions

sorry for this profanity lol i’m just really really really stressed :/

Hahaha, no AP Bio test for meeee
But I WILL be in AP English Literature at 2 PM… and because it’s such a relaxed class, I’ll probably be able to check my decision as soon as it comes… which means that there is a 99% chance that I will be a wreck for the rest of class (regardless of the decision).

lol my friends are coming over when i get the decision and then we’re going out to this amazing sushi place to either celebrate or help me be happy

honestly the only thing getting me through this week is a spicy tuna roll and im not even kidding lmao

diddly123- I can completely feel your pain. I have a major economics exam tomorrow and I really can’t concentrate as much as I would like to! Also I’ll have to be up till 1:30 am tomorrow for the decision because of my time zone :
Hoping of the best but prepared for the worst!! :)

sophie- exactly! i’m expecting to be deferred/rejected and anything extra would just be so incredible. best of luck to you :)

oh and treat yourself to a starbucks if you’re gonna stay up that late! you’d deserve it :)

@diddly123 We just started mitosis and meiosis today, but we might have a test friday. “You guys already know this stuff.” I will be a wreck.

I’m pretty torn. On the one hand, I could check my decision before my basketball game. Or I could wait until after the game. Each has its downside. If I check before my game and I’m deferred/rejected, I’ll be a wreck and probably too sad to play the game to my best ability. If I check after, I’ll be a nervous wreck during the game and might find it hard to focus. Ah! Choices!

saldaddario- i legit hate when teachers say that. hope it goes well for you! but i also have midterms next week so i dont know how i’m gonna study this weekend no matter what decision i get

collegeluva- personally i would check before the game just because i’m insane, but if you feel like your nerves are gonna get in the way either way, why not just check before? if you do, and get accepted, you’ll be ecstatic during the game, but if you check after, there’s a 100% chance of being sad/nervous the whole time!

3 PM on Friday? During school? Why would Harvard do this to us?

Why???

They should at least have enough decency to let us spaz out in relative privacy… Not in front of all our classmates, during a test. I suppose I could wait until school is over to check my email, but at this rate that certainly ain’t happening.

Wow, so I’ll be presenting at a Mu Alpha Theta meeting when decisions are released…I really hope my computer doesn’t display email notifications while in presentation mode…

I’ll probably check right before the end of lunch (around ~1 hour after decisions come out). That way I’ll be totally deflated for my last class of the day. :/

3 is so much better than 5, it’s before my practice.

Harvard adcom reads these and accepts all of us because we are good people and are nice to eachother my dream

@Neutrality, same bro haha. Practice is at 3:15 so here’s to hoping I’ll get my email before then.

i’ve never been more grateful that my last class on friday ends at 1:40 yay lol
