Hm… I was under the impression you could do your US visa stuff by the Swiss embassy(since it seems to represent US interests in Iran and all that). Well, that’s as good a reason to spend on travelling as I can think of! :D

This ran in the Harvard Crimson today. :((

wow- 18 kids from a school run by a former Hvd prof…

Last year at this time, my son did get into the admitted students portal ~ 3 hours before receiving his acceptance email. A close friend tried to do the same without success. His friend ultimately received a deferred status email. So, apparently access to the admitted students portal was a good indicator. I can’t say if the same holds true this year…

Hi, I don’t want to scare everyone here. Has anyone try to change your computer date to Dec 14th, and log in to the Applicant Status Portal? Can you log in? and what does it show you? This may make no sense. But try it just for passing the time.

^If that was possible, it would be due to some really crappy programming

I changed my time on my computer and was able to log in to the portal. It said decisions are going to be sent by email. Does it mean anything that I could sign on?

I’m too afraid to use anything other than a tried-and-true method. I don’t think my palpitating heart could handle the stress. Ridiculously freaking out, couldn’t even be minded to care about my physics test. [sobbing intensifies]

It IS possible and I just logged in after I changed my computer’s date

^Wow, that’s silly… Can they really not use server time (or some other non-local time)? smh

shinexalive: Relax! I’m listening to music and reading Cyanide & Happiness comics and eating pudding :D

@huntsaq, did you really log in with your pin and last name? or you just get on the portal login page?

It’s Dec.14th in my country I am able to open my portal, but I have no idea what it means since I haven’t checked it for totally a week It just says about the same thing as before( All your materials are received, thank you) I think this fact makes no sense;-) Good luck to everyone! Sleeeeeeeeepy

@AnnaTheGreat: Wish I could, I’m in class though But C&H sound like a great de-stresser! (They don’t load well over crappy school wifi…)

I wonder if there really is anyway to get into the portal system. Hundreds of students must’ve tried before, and unless Harvard admissions = CA4, they’ve learned from any possible weaknesses and fixed them.

I was able to do that and log in, but just showed that all of my materials had been received

I used my last name as username and application pin as password. This is the admitted student portal.

I went to the original application portal and on the left hand side at the bottom I clicked on Admitted Students. I logged in and it said decisions will be emailed today.

1 hr 33 min

Yeah at that article! Go andover.

Well this sucks, because I never personally sent in my SAT score report. I just know they got my application and transcript

huntsaq: ummmm seriously?
