@oxoxhawja3xoxo 2.5 hours after deferred emails?! The deferred emails must be in such bulk…

@skslxxbjk Oh wait, never mind. the guys whos email I looked at applied regular decision. I’m not sure what time they will come for early decision.

@oxoxhawja3xoxo My friend who was accepted early last year got hers ~3:30-45 I think. Ahhh so much speculation

@oxoxhawja3xoxo @skslxxbjk I’ve heard that acceptance emails come anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours after they are “released”. So basically the later you receive your email, the better. My friend who got accepted early two years ago had to wait an hour.

Is anyone else planning how/when/where they will open their email?

I don’t want to be near a computer until well after the time… I think constantly refreshing is nervewracking.

@Karabekian I really want to find out at home. Something about finding out during school seems so much more stressful than getting the decision alone at home lol.

I’m going to find out at work haha.

My parents just asked me when I would find out – I said by the 15th just so they don’t pester me the moments before my (probable) deferral. I think I will wait until I am home and check it privately in my room. One thing though is that I have quiz bowl practices on Thursdays and they run pretty late… I have not been as anxious for decisions as some of you have been, but I am sure on that day time will pass verrryyy slowly.

@collegeapps2k14 same here-- I told my parents the 15th haha. Smart.

that game is addicting as hell

if we find out on the 11th at 5:00, i’ll be in my english class where my teacher has a board where we can write our acceptances/deferrals/rejections ahahah oh god…

@Karabekian I had to program 2048 for AP Compsci last year and now I’m sick of it LOL

I also told my parents that it was “mid-December.” I’m not going to check my email until well after 2:00 (5:00 EST), but I’ll be silently freaking out the whole time! To be honest I don’t even know if I can wait because I’d be so curious…

@seabasstiano That’s so awkward omg

I think I’m just going to put my headphones in, play some pump-up music, and go to my room. I kind of want to make a video though…not sure haha

@skslxxbjk it really is… maybe i’ll just try to wait until class is over to check. then again like you i don’t know if i’ll be able to contain my curiosity long enough!

Its so interesting to hear you guys talking about the moments leading up to opening up your emails. You can only anticipate what you might feel but the moment you’re about to click on it will be nerve-wracking, heart-pounding!! Will some of you be like physically unable to open it for a few seconds?? LOL Or Stare at it like its unreal?? or even close your eyes as you click on it??

@Karabekian: I was obsessed with that game at the end of junior year!!! Getting the 4096 tile was a huge accomplishment for me lol. Maybe I should have put that on my college app!
I have no idea what I’m going to do that day. It’s always seemed really far away, and the fact that we now have a definite date and time is making this seem that much more real and immediate. I kind of want to make a video, just because I think that no matter the decision, it’ll be something cool to look back on a couple of years for now. But I feel like I’ll be too nervous???

I have a choir concert that night, so I’m considering just disconnecting my email account from my phone after school and only doing my homework that doesn’t require a computer. Then, after the concert, I’ll check my email. Especially since I know that if it comes early, it’s bad news, I don’t want to risk the possibility even seeing the notification pop up on my phone or computer, to be honest.
It’ll be on my mind all day, but. I’ll just have to power through.
I think I’ll start exercising my will power daily, now.
Tonight. 100 snaps in a row. No giving up.
Tomorrow, I’m not going to have dessert.
The next day on my run, I’m going to go an extra mile.
Etc. etc. I’ll think of some more things I guess.

I think I’m taking this too seriously. HAHA. But whatever. It’ll all be over soon enough.

@clumsy456 I sent an update to my application too, but I did not receive an email to confirm that it will help my application. Do you think that means that they have already made a decision on my app?

Aloe Blacc - Green Lights is the song to play for an acceptance.
