Official Harvard SCEA Class of 2019 Applicants Thread

Son got deferred – he’s highly qualified like all of you – but he’s not disappointed at all. Good Luck with Regular Decision.

Hi, mine are a bit weird seeing as though I’m from England - do I assume you mean extra-curricular by EC? I’m gonna “attempt” sleep soon seeing as though it’s midnight over here :(

Son got deferred – he’s highly qualified like all of you – but not disappointed. Coincidentally he just received an email for an interview from his first choice RD school. (Harvard was 2nd choice). …there’s always that 3.5% chance Harvard will call RD  . Good Luck to all of you in the RD round.

I’ve been accepted! Never got an email, but I checked the applicant portal.

deferred.

My school’s valedictorian (and state golf champ) got deferred

Deferred…

deferred :P

I’m honestly very disappointed. Looks like most people here got deferred… who did harvard accept?

Son got deferred. So did most of his highly qualified friends – except one with a 2400 on SAT and 800s on all of his subject tests (who also happens to be a concert pianist).

I got accepted!

Accepted!

Accepted!

Deferred, but congratulations to those who got accepted! RD here we go!

Congrats! All of you! @tipster‌ @HobbitTon‌ @Veritas47‌

Daughter was deferred. It was a financial reach for us anyway, and it was going to be very hard to say no to her after she got in if it turned out that we got too little aid. So she is not taking up the spot for someone who can actually afford it or eligible for plenty of aid. So now we can get back to focusing on merit scholarships.

Congratulations to those accepted, and for those who were deferred or rejected, carry on. It has been a pleasure interacting with all of you here. Best of luck.

Congratulations to those accepted, and for those who were deferred or rejected, carry on. This is just one “audition” of many that you will try for in your life. Sometimes you get the gig and sometimes you don’t. Best of luck to all.

Can someone provide the link to the thread where everyone who pledged is supposed to post their results, stats, EC’s, etc.
