<p>I sent in my first quarter grades, but they did not ask. On their website, it says that these reports are optional, however, I believe that you should send them in if you can and if they will help your application at all and make you a stronger candidate</p>

<p>@Ambitious19 I asked my counselor to send them once they were released, and she sent them directly to Harvard in her report that she is required to send.</p>

<p>@jaredcohen Okay I see. My school is on the semester system, so we don’t have official first quarter grades that go on our transcript. They’re more of an informal way of gauging how well we’re doing in our classes, and only the final semester grade is officially recorded. I’ll talk to my guidance counselor about it. </p>

<p>Also, I think they only request quarter grades if some of your previous grades are questionable, like if you were getting B’s in sophomore year, and junior year you got a few more A’s, they need to see if you are continuing to make progress. Or if you had a random grade drop at the end of junior year for some reason or another, they need to make sure it was just a flub and not you slacking off at the end of your high school career. If they didn’t request them at all it means your grades look good, or they look so awful there is no need to consider you. @skslxxbjk </p>

@oxoxhawja3xoxo That would make sense! While I don’t have any weird grade fluctuations, I’m definitely not a top student academically, and I have a few Bs thrown into the mix. I’m hoping my ECs will overpower that. D:</p>
