do we get info about financial aid with admission? (if admitted of course)

If you turned in your CSS profile, then yes.

Does Harvard email us the date and time of when the decisions will be released or is it just writen on the status portal page?

@SephardicJewESA: Outside of the US, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands, the regions are split up as follows with two or more Admissions Officers covering each region

OVERSEAS
Africa
Australia
China
East Asia
Europe
India
Mexico, Central and South America
Middle East, India and Northern Africa
Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea

CANADA
British Columbia
Manitoba, Montreal, Alberta, & Saskatchewan
Maritimes, Toronto & Ottawa

@harvard00 I believe if you turned in the financial aid information they asked for (using 2013 tax information and 2014 estimates) they should give you an estimate of aid with admission.

@graceunderfire It was pretty much about my two best friends and how my role as the writer of the friend group has shaped our friendship, and in turn, how our friendship has shaped my writing. (Gahh, it’s difficult to explain, sorry!)

What about you? (I love this topic! It’s so much fun hearing about what everyone wrote.)

@marioharvy @HobbitTon Both of your topics sound incredible!! Wow!

@calliemoon11 yours is great i bet!

@graceunderfire It’s okay if you couldn’t include everything inside of it! I feel like in the essay, they want to see depth, not breadth. They just want you to explore one aspect of yourself in great detail.

@entrebusecon Someone needs to take the spots! It might as well be you :)

@calliemoon11 I wrote about the transformation of my whiteboard. It’s also wicked hard to explain but it started off as a place where I felt empowered an an individual to solve problems. Then I discovered that it’s real beauty was as a place for discourse and collaborative problem solving. Then how my frustration because I didn’t have enough people to collaborate with in my person my favorite subject (CS) helped me discover the power of the whiteboard as a way to share my expertise and interests by teaching others.

@c0nman That’s so cool! That’s a really unique topic.

My october SAT & ACT don’t show up on the portal, should i call just to make sure they have it?

@harvard00 my October SAT shows, so yea definitely call them! My SAT was marked as received the same day I received my scores!

@PcollegegirlP did you send any sat scores before that?

@harvard00 no, I didn’t …
Did u? :-/

@PcollegegirlP yeah i had already submitted an SAT and two subject tests before that’s probably why my portal hasn’t changed but i will call on Monday just to make sure

For all of you wondering, decisions will most definitely be out on December 11: https://admweb.fas.harvard.edu/ha/Applicant/ApplicantFrame.html

@howtocollege: Thanks for the link! Wouldn’t this mean that decisions will be coming out on December 12? If we can change our email addresses until midnight on the 11th, then decisions would have to be sent after that time, wouldn’t they?

This page from your link does not say that decisions are coming out on December 11th, unless I am mis-reading this.
