Official Harvard SCEA Class of 2019 Applicants Thread

I’ve applied to Harvard, Georgia Tech, UGA, and Emory so far. I plan on applying to Vanderbilt, Duke, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, and Johns Hopkins.

So…any other legacies on here? Getting real tired of the whole “oh you’re guaranteed to get in because you’re a legacy” thing…figured other people feel the same xD

Whoa, @HobbitTon, my list is almost exactly the same (plus Columbia, minus Vanderbilt)

@calliemoon11 Yeah, hopefully it’ll pass as I finish up the rest of my applications. Thanks - good luck to you too!

@AuTurtle‌ That happened to me a few weeks ago. Now I barely think about Harvard :slight_smile: I see so many people getting excited but I am just chilling. Just think about there’s nothing you can do now that the application is in the hands of AO. What’s done is done and what will come will come, so might as well sit back and enjoy life for a while with some movies and books(or write essays for other colleges lol)

Edit: I actually just watched Catching Fire on Wednesday, went shopping on Thursday, and watched Miliennium Actress(anime movie) and Sleepless in Seattle last night. All of them are awesome movies that leave some impression!

@AuTurtle‌ @HobbitTon‌ I was going to apply to Emory but then I couldn’t answer the supplement question on time for the merit scholarship deadline. Working on my Stanford application now.

My supplement to Emory was a bit rushed because I needed to get it submitted in time for the merit deadline.

@fairyfantasy So true! Thanks for the reminder!

@howtocollege Yeah, I missed the merit scholarship, but I’m still applying. Other scholarships are available! (I also did my research there over the summer, so I feel compelled to still apply lol)

@harvard00‌ I had the same problem about the scores before I logged into that other status portal discussed later in this thread (here’s the link: https://admweb.fas.harvard.edu/ha/Applicant/ApplicantFrame.html</a>) and saw that my scores were received. :smile:

@fairyfantasy‌ I wish I had your attitude! It’s wonderful that you’re staying so positive! I’ve also been watching a whole lot of movies to pass the time, haha.

@WooTheDay‌ I actually just watched The Fault in Our Stars last night for the first time! I read the book this summer, but I just got around to watching the movie. What did you think of it?

@ivydreamer99‌ what did you use for the access code?

@harvard00‌ You have to set the access code by requesting it on the site!

@calliemoon11‌ i just requested it thanks!

@harvard00‌ No problem :)

Any perfect scorers here? Feeling nervous due to school mid year exams :3

@AuTurtle‌ Yeah, but I figured I would most likely not attend even if I got in so I didn’t want to waste time applying there when I could be using that extra time to work on my other applications and schoolwork.

all my submitted tests show up on this portal which is great. But it says my secondary report wasn’t received, the regular portal shows it was received… weird

@harvard00.

What do you mean by “this portal”?

@nomatterwhat‌ https://admweb.fas.harvard.edu/ha/Applicant/ApplicantFrame.html</a></p>
