Was the Darwin question only on Ecology?

no I took molecular

I remember a Mendel one… but Darwin?

hahaha maybe it was mendel. but what was the answer to that one

Phylogeny.

“5.What is an advantage of asexual reproduction:
Mutations are not passed from generation to generation?”

But if it’s asexual then the offspring have the exact same genome as the parent, which means that mutations would be passed… no?

that’s what I thought. what did you put then? I forgot my answer…

I forgot too…haha XD. Anyone remember the answer choices for that one?

I think it was C, but I don’t remember what the answer said.

so the answer wasn’t the one about mutations right?

Guys… about the one that asked how the kingdoms are classified, is it cell structure and feeding patterns or when they appeared on earth?

I put cell structure/feeding patters…because think about, several kingdoms appeared during the Cambrian explosion, but we classify them separately.

I am pretty sure it’s cell structure.

Sigh~ Yeah now it makes sense… T_T

Scale of 1-10… How hard was it? [1 being easy]

It was ok. Maybe a 5.

no, it wasn’t mutations. Asexual reproduction makes a perfect copy of the parental DNA.

Yeah that’s what I thought. But what was the answer?

Okay ooo! I remember now. One of the choices was like it could survive changing conditions. was that the answer?

That’s not what I put… asexual reproduction doesn’t have much genetic variability, so they can’t survive changes in conditions.

bacteria produce asexually, and they survive changing conditions well (think of how bacteria change to resist antibiotics)…however, I that may have more to do with their short life span and natural selection…
