***Official January 2015 SAT (US ONLY) THREAD***

The question about the F and G group went like this. Group F is all even numbers from 0 to 10,000 inclusive. Group G is all multiples of 5 from zero to 10,000 inclusive. How many numbers in group F are not in group G? Most people say the answer is 4,000. I dont remember exactly what i put. does anybody remember the answer choices? It was multiple choice.

It was the last free response question so it wasn’t multiple choice

ok. thanks

was the question about lowest possible value of f(x)=|3x-4| = 4/3 multiple choice or free response?

Also the CR music authenticity passage there was a question about pete seeger having to tell a fan that he was always commercial. I chose the powerful effect of celebrity as my answer.

That was free response as well @jdchriss‌

The last math question of the test (the one about the colored rings) the correct answer was A right

how was the question asked? do you remember?

@emersonballer21‌ The general consensus on CC is that the answer to the ring question is “red”. I do believe this was choice A.

can anyone remember the question about f(x)= |3x-4| = 4/3 ? how was the question asked? what was the whole question if possible?

it asked for x when the value of f(x) is lowest

i get all that. but lowest to what? Lowest to where the function equals zero?

I mean did it ask for when the x value can be lowest for the function to be equal to zero and not greater or lesser?

does anyone remember the question about why pete seeger had to tell the fan he had always been commercial? what did put?

sorry if someone has already answered this but which one was the experimental section for writing?
was it the easier one or the harder one of the two 35 question sections

If you got the writing improving paragraphs section with the presidents and elections portion, then that one is legit. @ohioan74‌

yes i agree. the second 35 question section was the experimental.

@jdchriss‌ The f(x) = |3x-4| question, it asks for the value of x so that f(x) has the minimum value. Because |3x-4| is an absolute value, it’s always greater than or equal to 0. f(x) >= 0. So 0 is its minimum value. We need to find what x value can make f(x) equal to 0. 3x-4 = 0 -> x = 4/3.

thanks man. i think i put 4/3 as the answer. I just needed to know what the whole question said. thanks!

@jdchriss @dan213
so did you think the experimental was harder or easier
