I didn’t really study (was planning to use this as a baseline/way of figuring out weaknesses) but I’m never taking it again! lol. So glad I broke 2300. I guess I shouldn’t’ve been on CC so much right after the test; it turned out fine!
How many questions can you get wrong on SAT II Chem in order to get 800?
Barron’s says you can get 10 wrong, Princeton Review says you can get 6 wrong, and College Board sample test says one can get 4 wrong.
@Jascos Erica Meltzer Ultimate Guide to Grammar is insanely good. It’s concise and gives you everything you need for an 800. Make sure to read through every section and do every single practice problem.
2380: 790 CR, 800 M, 790 WR. I was so surprised since I could’ve sworn I missed at least 2 on the CR. Guess the curve is really generous. @Piscator I got the same subscores as you in writing (80 MC + 9 Essay) but I got a 790? Kinda confused now
@sidhanthp Thanks, but I don’t feel like retaking it again lol. I’m fine with the 2270
@wjq8g6 Yeah it was. I got 2 wrong on the CR and still got an 800.
I have a question:
I missed 1 math question and left 2 blank. My score was 700. Based on the posts in this thread, I thought it would at least be 710…
Has anyone else gotten a 700 math? How many questions wrong/ blank did you have?
Rofl. I think I got -7 or -8 and ended up with a 690 on Novemeber’s CR. You guys either got lucky this time, or that test was supposedly super easy so harsher curve, or this CR must’ve been insane.
@2400ismygoal1 Well, it seemed like you could miss 2 and get a perfect score on the CR this time. Math was 2 wrong for a 740, 1 wrong for a 770 and 0 wrong for an 800. Writing is much more difficult to tell because of the essay, but I got -2 with a pretty terrible essay (7) for a 720.
Anyways, I got a 740M (-2), 790CR (-3) and 720W (-2, 7 on essay); I don’t omit. Will retake.
