***Official January 2015 SAT (US ONLY) THREAD***

Excuse me for being that livid that this one question could decide whether I get a 2300 or not - getting 2 wrong on this horrible math section absolutely screwed me over - and I REALLY do not want to have to take this test a second time. @Anonymoose3

ANYONE!!! For the Lisbon question, did it say “enriched with” or “enriched by”? Because enriched with is correct, and I am pretty sure that the question had “enriched by.” I know @Mango920452‌ was talking about Lisbon being no error before, and I put no error too, so I’m freaking out about this question.

I put impress too, for questions like these the actual meaning of the word is hardly ever the right answer.

@Anonymoose3 in case if makes you feel any better, when split up, the latin roots for inflict are in = into and fligere = to strike. Literally to strike into.

I guess you define “utterly ridiculous” as correct.

@yesyesyes1 Don’t take that out on me.

I’m not super attached to this question because I’ll be fine either way - plus I’ve got 7+ more opportunities to take it.

@Anonymoose3
Don’t take it out on you? Is that a joke?

When you tell someone “I can’t even understand why you’d pick it” when in reality you’re wrong, you need to understand that every now and then, someone is going to “take it out on you”.

Kids like you that want to go to prestigious universities but have absolutely no social skills aggravate me so much.

Regardless of that, we’ll just have to wait for when collegeboard releases the answer for you to see your mistake.

It was impress, come on dude

@yesyesyes1 everyone wants a good score… But to refuse to admit you are possibly wrong is foolish.

@yesyesyes1 I hope you realize I only said that because you’ve been an absolute prick to everyone, including me, who has so much as disagreed with you for like 15 pages.

Whether or not you got that single SAT question correct, your dogmatic personality will earn you less friends than my apparently “bad” social skills that you picked up on from an entirely anonymous internet discussion forum.

Actually it was ïmpress"in the context of the passage

It’s five against one at this point…

Smh at the desperation of some people.

Like for impress mark for inflict

@Nerdboy98 Absolutely. Everyone should email satquestion @ info.collegeboard.com :slight_smile:

@herpinburpin @Nerdboy98 Which question is this about again?

@Anonymoose3‌ One of the questions on the writing section about the rockets of class Ariane-5…“did not yet prove their” vs “had not yet proved their”

@herpinburpin I remember stopping for a minute at that question. I picked “had not” but I can’t remember if there were multiple had nots. Which one is technically grammatically correct?

Also - do you think CB will not count it if they get enough emails? lol

Guys chill. Lol. I understand the need for the answers but no need to quarell. You probs did fine :smile:

Can anyone remember the actual wording of the -10 and 25 question, and asks you to find 3/5s of the way from -10 to 25? Also was 5 one of the answer choices for this question?

yes 5 was a possibilie answer. but the right answer was 11.

@texas1418 - I think you just about got it! “What number is 3/5 of the way from -10 to 25?”

I think I got 21.
