***Official January 2015 SAT (US ONLY) THREAD***

@tylerfrenchfrye‌ I think I had a math experimental, but not the one you described. I had one line graph with two kittens, one named tiger, and their weekly weight gains and it asked how much more weight does tiger need to gain to get the averages equal or something. Also there was one about a dosage of something proportional to a person’s weight, which was a grid-in. There can be multiple experimental math sections right?

What do you guys think 2 wrong and 1 omitted would be in math?

and guys i also concur that it was median only
i checked more than once

Wait, the math question with the largest population/area…wasn’t it 5th or something? How was it 3rd?

@glasshours It asked you to sort them from least to greatest

@colestech the answer was 200 it went from 600 to 800 i think

@Anonymoose3‌ - Ahh sorry, can you remind me of the question again? Was it the multiple choice question with the scatterplot?

YOLO 2012

Anyone remember a math question that had to do with a scatterplot of hotels concerning their height and number floors?

noooooooo

@APScholar18‌ was that to me?

yep

Anyone know what the “akin to an effective stage performer” question was?

@tylerfrenchfrye‌ same! I know very few people who have had a math experimental but we had different questions. Could you tell me more about your experimental questions (we might have the same one)?

@didierdrogba‌ mine wasn’t a grid in so we had different ones.
There can be more than one experimental for each section.
@studying123‌ yeah it’s weird I haven’t heard anyone say anything about it!
All I remember is that there was a chart about like interest rates for different companies from 2003-2010. There was a question with a square inside a circle inside a square… And that’s really all I got to. I think the last question was a I, II, III question but I didn’t get to it.
EDIT: oh yeah, there was another one about like a girl going to work and it told you the distance from her to the coffee shop was like x-4 and you had to explain why that was. There were several questions with variables and it would be like “explain what the number next to the variable represents” weird I know.

@tylerfrenchfrye‌ thats really weird, I don’t think we had the same one which is a bummer because I’ve found noone who has had the same experimental as me. For some reason I can’t remember anything from it except that it was a grid in and that it had a question about compounding annually…

After taking the exam and discussing answers…

What does everyone think they got on the SAT?

@studying123 oh see I didn’t have any grid in questions but my experimental had a lot of like exponential equations like about the “compounded annually” thing too.
I’m certainly glad Ill be a senior next year because if that’s what the new SAT is like, I would never have a shot at an 800.

@tylerfrenchfrye‌ that’s relieving; I thought that certain math section was difficult and ran out of time (when math is usually my best and is the easiest IMO.) also glad to be a senior next year!
