@tjfabio98 I got motivations because the ingenuity and drive is more of a motivation to act rather than what is implied which is unrealistic. I might be wrong as I changed the answer from unrealistic, but I feel that in direct context the two words meant their motivation to go and colonize not what the other was implying and commenting that it was unrealistic
I said unrealistic expectations because immediately following his referencing the yankee ingenuity he basically tore apart the idea of terraforming and how it would be impossible. He didn’t say anything about the motivation, and he didn’t (to my memory) say anything about the pro-terraform people giving an inadequate explanation.
@tjfabio98 yea I think your correct. Btw why did people put pragmatic for comparison rather than celebrity/public success for what was similar betweenness Kiss and the singer? Also what did you all put for what thr author of p1 would say about his transformation???
@98cars I put public success as well, I don’t even remember pragmatic being an answer tbh. As for you’re last question about transformation, What were the options and what was the question b/c I don’t know what your referring to
The question was what would passage 1 ( the one who wrote about fake ness and non authenticity and Kiss) say about the example in passage 2 of Peter Seeger who underwent a transformation
@98cars Oh I remember the question but I don’t remember what I posted, possibly something along the lines of “he will never be truly authentic if that is what he is attempting” I’m not sure though
Yea kk, so that answer choice was that it is not possible to undergo a full transformation
@98cars Yea I guess, but I’m not sure I put that, I would have to see the rest of the choices to know for sure what I chose. What do you think will be the curve? I got -9 on the december test for a 670, so close to that 700 it hurt lmao
New on here, Can someone predict my score?
Cr: -6
M: -13 (Bombed this)
W: -7/-10 (9 essay)
I’m not one of these CC geniuses so Idc that its probably not gonna be considered good for this site
Wait, can someone please explain how the math MC with population/area was 3rd, not 5th? I could have sworn that there were 4 points above the point with the largest population…
For the question with the coolness… according to Merriam Webster coolness is evenness of emotion and temper which would work…
Are you sure about that one? I put that too but I am not sure if that was right.
Is the box view one C? That’s what I put.
Was this for the box one about volume or the one with pictures?
On the Yankee ingenuity one people (including me) put “inadequate supports” because those qualities were part of a list or supports that was then claimed to be insufficient, or inadequate. Seems like there’s a lot of variation though in terms of answers.
for the coolness one i’m pretty sure it was no error, and there was another writing question with “had went”, but it should have been “have gone”
and for the one with “either” or “both” I was going to pick either but then I realized that the sentence said __ her two sisters, so it couldn’t be either not just because there was no or, but because either is used to compare one thing with at least 2 other things, and “sisters” was paired together as one set.
This SAT could have a really good curve or a really bad curve. I hope it has a good one, because the answer choices are more controversial than usual.
Can someone predict my grade:
Reading- 4 wrong
Math- 3-4 wrong
Writing- 1 wrong and 11 essay
@Ravenclaw101 i got the had went one wrong… but im not sure about the either/or one either
as for predictions it depends on curve; I’d say Math: 710; Reading: 760 and Writing: 790/800
@College123college I am hoping that the math and reading curve are better so that I can get a 2300. I feel like these sections are trickier than usual, and am hoping on behalf of all us that collegeboard will give a generous curve. I hope its not only me that thinks this SAT was somewhat tricky. Thanks for the score prediction (:
