Official June 11 2011 Scores Thread

I thought it would be good to have a thread just for the purpose of posting your scores, whenever you get them, so that people don’t end up posting in the backs of already long forums or start multiple new threads about it. This is just a place for sharing and discussing your scores. If you already have your scores, you can go ahead and post them now.
Thanks!

I got my scores yesterday.

why dont you post them?

^no one actually cares about other people’s scores! it’s all about bragging about our own, and he doesn’t wanna!

Hahaha maybe your right. But if anyone does want to brag, go ahead.

^ Well I’d like some advice from people that score in the 30s on my scores… these fluctuations are kinda weird.

1st (Oct '10):
E-27
M-28
R-30
S-26
Comp: 28

2nd (Feb '11):
E-29
M-25
R-27
S-24
Comp: 26

3rd (this June):
E-32
M-28
R-31
S-25
Comp: 29

My English and reading scores are okay but how do I get my math science scores up??

My dd also got her scores in the mail today. She did not take the writing section, so maybe that is why they came early.

I will post her scores:

E- 35
usage/mec- 18
rhet skills-17
Math 30 with a 16, 15, 15

R- 33 with a 17, 17

Science 30

Composite 32

Unfortunately this is only a 1 point increase from April.
She went up 3 points in math and 1 in English, but down a point in reading.
She stayed the same in science even after taking a few practice tests.
She probably won’t retake this since she isn’t applying to any top tier schools and has a good chance of being a NMSF. Hopefully that is an okay decision.

Bump so this thread isn’t forgotten…

Sent from my DROIDX using CC App

Bump! T minus 1 hour!

Glad this thread is being used. I didn’t want to have to go to page 345 of the other score thread just to see how people did.

Where do you look to see if you’re registered or tested?

@sparrows21 You go to “test dates and scores”. It should say there.

E-30
M-34
R-33
S-28
Composite-31

I know a good score is a 32 and up but I was wondering if any of you guys would recommend retaking it if I wanted to get into Georgia Tech. Oh and I have already taken the SAT ( R-800, M-670, W-660) and I know they super super score but I’m going to be a senior this coming school year and I really would like to know if it is worth retaking.
Thanks
(Oh and sorry for breaking the thread. I wasn’t actually sure where to put this.)

Well it all depends on how you’re doing in school, what kind of school you go to, and any extracurricular that you are participating in. If you have like a 3 GPA at a public high school, then take the SAT or ACT one more time. If you have a 3.5-4 GPA at a public high school, then you’re fine. This is assuming you are taking Honors classes.
If you are doing any meaningful extracurricular (I’m not talking about National Honors Society or Chorus; something more unique), then you should be fine, at least at Georgia Tech…

1st time taking ACT with no prep.
English 26
Math 36
reading 24
Science 36
Composite 31

Honestly don’t know what’s up with me and English/reading, it’s always been a problem :/

E - 31
M - 35
R - 34
S - 33
C - 33

This ACT test was actually hard as hell, I was shocked to see this score. I got a 31 with no prep in April so I decided to study with a tutor for around 5 weeks. Worked well!

A great practice book is princeton review’s 1296 problems for the ACT. Although there are a decent amount of typos, the questions are usually very challenging which is good. I also found that the practice tests in the official ACT book to be easier than the real ACT.

Thanks, I don’t think I’ll have a problem then.

English: 35 (+0 from April)
Math: 36 (+3)
Reading: 33 (+2)
Science: 33 (+6)
Composite: 34 (+2)

Took a practice test the night before, and I will probably take in September to go for the 36!

E: 35
M: 34
R: 33
S: 36
C: 35

So happy right now, but the main reason I’m posting is does anyone know the curves? It seems to me that reading was harsh while math was very generous.

@Thrashingshrimp - I’ve noticed that too… I read somewhere that Math was -1 = 36 and Reading went down normally.
