No breakaway, the speaker never mentions anything expensive about HER braces, just Tom’s. Also they were described as unsightly in the whole passage.

I think literature can be eliminated because so little facts are known (plus no one’s ever seen one alive) that how can it be an embellishment with hardly any facts to embellish?

does anyone remember what they put for number 14 on section 10…
the last problem on the whole test?
it was either B or D i forgot waht the question was though

Well they do have that paragraph in passage 2 that talks about how authors establish their descriptions of the squid, and in passage 1, they mention specific details of the squid in Verne’s book I think.

i think it was B, for whose leaves is extraacted

and echelon i remember my logic for not picking literarry was because in passage 2 said nothing about “distorting”

it was def scientists have never found a live squid…the first passage explicitly stated this and then the second passage talks about how mysterious they are and everything.

passage two didnt talk about literary stretching…i thought it did in that one part where the author was talking about how movie directors had to spend time describing the squid…but when i reread it, they had to spend time describing it because it was so mysterious and people wouldnt know what they were talking about…it didnt say anything about making stuff up.

the one with the aloe vera or something. I think I put D

matt i put something down last 5 seconds of the game
it was either B or D what were the choices???
is it the one including “with which…”

i dont think that’s the point. The choice is basically saying literature miscontrues the squid and embellishes its existence because so little is known.

andreaa’s arguement convinces me a little. I actually didn’t go back and read passage two that carefully. You could be right…there’s really no point in arguing, well find out soon enoguh

should i work on compiling the answers or has someone already done that? i just got home from the test center so i havent read this thread yet.

andrea that would be amazing if you would compile the answers

Jumping off topic :), but does anyone know the usual curve for the writing section?

Is it 1-2 questions, and/or maybe a point or two on the essay?
I saw someone posted on an earlier thread how they got perfect MC but a 9 on the essay and still 800.

“i think it was B, for whose leaves is extraacted”
yeah it was that question

definately for whose leaves is extracted

I think we can rule out by now

“findings to be false” because of what i said earlier

and also

“literarture distorts” because all paragraph 2 said was that squid are scary looking thugs. It never said that those descriptiosn were distorted, he seemed to believe himself that Squids are really 60 feet long, so he does not see the novels as embellishign

and yay colin about the aloe vera, im glad we can agree on something for once

yeah andreaa you should definitely comple answers

lol i hear you severed.

ok i will.

do you guys know which sections were experimental for everyone?

the test i took had two grid in sections (20 grid ins total) so i know one of them must have been exp, but i dont know which one. on other forms of the test what was experimental?

I had a Math exp also, but it seems that there were different exp problems, like I didnt get the probability/chair one.

ye, can someone who DIDNT have a CR experimental tell us which reading passages they had??
