there was a question like this:
first five hours… traveled 100 m
next five hours traveled 200m (doubled)
the average was 30???

Does anyone have a curve idea for writing?
How much do they usually curve MC/essay?

6 portables right

writing is brutal. I got 3 wrong and 9 essay for 720. Although, my essay probably doesn’t help

what was the portable equation???

whats the portable quetion? i dont recall it

Writing in January I got 2 wrong and 11 essay for 780

Portable equation was C (1900) = 1150 + 125n (6)

lol there were 2 sections with like that exact same type of question for the first question

C = 1150 + 125n i think

I’m pretty surprised writing isnt curved that much then ![]()
I was hoping to get by with maybe 2-3 errors and 12 on essay for perfect.

so ye i guess a strong essay is important for a high score too.

What was the biographies passage???

What does it mean for a section to be experimental??

Any stories on past critical reading curves…what keeps you in 700+?

First paragraph on biographers in general, there was a novelist quote, mainly about how normal life sucks and biographer make everything up.

Second paragraph on biographers—more specifically good ones, that make everything up like fiction.

It really sucked.

I got 7 wrong in both January and March. January was 710 and march 700.

Sheesh! It takes a while to get through 46 pages!

Okay, here are some of the answers I got:

Critical Reading

tutelage, evidenced
pristine, deterred (it’s definitely not “inaccessible”)
illustration of human circulatory system
narrow and biased
absorbing pasttime that led him to make certain observations (encyclopedia passage)
overestimate extent of knowledge
have never found a live squid yet

Writing

I counted six No Errors among the Identifying Sentence Errors questions. In addition to the 5 already named previously, the sixth, I believe, was one that read something like: “After [year], …has considered (?)” I am 90% sure that was a No Error as well. Does anyone remember the exact sentence and what answer he or she chose??

For the last Improving Paragraphs question that asked for which sentence to delete, I actually chose the last one, since the sentence immediately before it read something like “I want pure dazzling white,” already implying that he wants just his “old-fashioned teeth” with no braces. Therefore, the last sentence is redundant. I didn’t find Sentence 5 to be out of place because it followed the sentence immediately before it, which indicated that she had different colors on her braces. That directly relates to her appearance, which was, of course, mentioned in Sentence 5. In addition, another question in the same section asked for what sentence was the best to insert at the beginning of Paragraph 2 (it was only there that the essay introduced pain from the braces, not in Paragraph 1), and the correct answer to that question was something like “Despite what my smile may look like, the braces hurt.” That would tend to lend support to the assertion that Sentence 5 was necessary. What do you guys think??

Math

Not much to say here. It was an easy section overall.

84%
18 for trapezoid question

I need to stop taking the SAT with only three hours of sleep!

this is in response to the ealirer post, but this is how u solve the trapezoid qusetoin: you know that each corner of the figure is 160 degrees (80+80). YOu use the formula (n-2)180 for the sum of all the interior angles adn then divide that by n to get the measure of each individual corner. You set that equal to 160 b/c u know that is the measure of each corner. So it looks like this: ((n-2)180 / n) = 160. Cross multiply and solve adn you get 18. im SO *ED b/c i did that on the test but i added wrong. *IN *****ES

godot seriously, you get like a 2400 everytime

Wow, good work Godot.

If the answers you provided for writing are true, then I may have missed 5+ :(

amen gonad, i accidently registered in the wrong school “same name, but 3 hrs a part lol”, so i was so worried and didn’t sleep the whole night.

btw you are right about “Despite what my smile may look like, the braces hurt”, but i thinks its being already established that the odd one out is 5.
