wasn’t it synonym for “cleaning up” / containmation

I thought it just asked about any external pursuits, not necessarily for the happiness of others but just doing anything that may bring you happiness but not directly seeking it.

“whether its better to go for self pleasure or the happiness of others”

That wasn’t it, was it? It was just whether or not you can be truly happy without helping others, right? I hope so, anyways, because if not then I got like a 0. <.<

And I think one of the motorcycle ones was “civic pride” not “congeniality” because the guy was talking about how everyone was looking at him while he was riding and stuff, making him feel pride

Oh dear lord! In a couple of hours, this thread has reached 3/4 of 1000!!! Now this is amazing!!

what did you guys use. I had MLK, cuckoos nest, and a personal experience. My conclusion was only a sentence long because i lterally had no more space left…

congeniality was the answer.

lol i didn’t know what congeaniality meant, and it talked about shrubs so i put natural beauty HAHAH

ugh if i get 3 wrong on the writing multiple choice, and an 8 on the essay, what do you think my grade will be? and if i get 4 wrong on critical reading? all without skipping anything?

Severed,

It’s “Godot.” :p

Sentence 5 may very well be the right answer, but I still don’t agree with the reasoning advanced by a few posters previously. That was the only one I was uncertain about on the Writing section. But I’m going to stick with my answer for now. :)

The other question could have been a verb tense error (present perfect to past), but I thought the meaning of the sentence implied that the process would have been more appropriately described as ongoing (therefore, requiring the present perfect tense) rather than at a discrete time in the past. Of course, one would prefer “since 1956” with the present perfect, but according to my impression of the sentence during the exam, I thought that the past tense would sound odd for some reason (because of the meaning). That’s why it would be great if someone can remember the exact sentence. Anyone??

I put error on the verb, but i think its no error now.

The sentnece was like

By 1965, there has being such an improvement in something something that the something between someone and someone is unnecesary

looks continous to me, though the reason i put the verb as an error was cause i thought that this improvement was probably a while ago and is no longer happeneing.

How often is -1 in Math 800?

heres what i have so far from the first 5 pages out of 19.

i didnt include answers from the cricital reading experimental (macchu pichu, etc.) because that doesnt count anyway, but i put every math question because i dont know for sure which were experimental and which were not. if you guys know that some of these are experimental just tell me and ill take them off.

braces, fixing the paragraph:

The sentence contained something like “has been computerized,” which I marked as an error.

Overall I thought the test was pretty easy with the exception to the essay question. Took me a bit to brainstorm ideas so I could not get everything I wanted to say down on time. The mathematics was very easy, the only one I did not do is the trapezoid one.

Did anyone feel that the CR was easy as well? The passages were not as boring as I’d predicted.

i dont think tasteful was an answer

and yeh what bschekl said, although all it matters is the “has been” part.

and bump, i tihnk im the only person that has been here for the entire 51 pages :P, except the first few cuz i dind’t get home yet

Also, I disagree with “tasteful” and “(not?) content with where they are.” The latter comes from the motorcycle passage, and I think the correct answer mentioned the “immediacy of the experience.”

has been computerized was an error

if it is then YAY, but can u tell me why its wrong colin, cause i jsut went by intuition

btw how much do i need to erase so the scantron doesn’t screw up, i get very paranoid about scantron erasing

something about tenses…I can’t remember exactly.
