Official June 2nd SATI Thread

yeah andreaaa my sis and me. The spate one totally threw me off too. I didn’t even consider the other options after I saw revival. Godot I started freaking out when I got up to like four E’s but didn’t change them (thab=nk God!)

can anyone reproduce the math question that asked for the value that gave the equations no solution or whatever? the answer was 2/3 i think

I think I got most of the ones discussed on here right…except…argh! Never erase your answers! I put spate at first even though I wasn’t sure what it meant, then I was like hey…I think transcience means emergence!

-.-

and I’m still not sure whether I erased “close-knit” or not…ahh…don’t EVER ERASE!

Oh, and the thinking 0 wasn’t an integer thing was not good.

it was -2/3

3y= 2x-6

y=1-cx

maybe that is wrong

me too i just marked revival right away. i thought the vocab was pretty decent, i didnt study for it at all but i knew malaise, innocuous, and all of the easy ones. the only one i missed is lugubrious i think.

spate means a sudden, almost overwhelming, outpouring (dictionary.com) how does that fit in context of sentence…I’m confused

oh and there was a math one about folding up the paper and cutting it or something. but i am pretty sure i got that one right.

yeah vocab was suprisingly manageable except the stupid pristine question

yeah its revival, but another person on here said it was spate. but i think its revival.

Did you put A for the folding one?

I scaned all 69 pages of this thread pretty quick  but correct me if I am wrong.

I think the one with chemical/biological was OR becuase it should be AND

for the math curve. I got a 720 on the March test and I only missed 3 :frowning: So it’s kind of brutal.

ummm what else…

does anyone remember the biographer questions?

oh and what about the one from the encyclopedia with the choices human heart, performing a play, picture of a building, museum, and historical portrait?

yea, it could be or, and. but there was nothign gramatically incorrect.

on one critical reading section i had an ABCD in a row and an ABCDE later on…anybody else?

if not, i hope that one was my experimental

no i think chemical/biological was no error bc either…or

pple said human circulatory system, but i thought it was the play because everything is layered and you can be there to dissect it.

someone please answer this:
is there the possibility of a mistake in one of the test forms? my test had an experimental critical reading, with two passages about how society has an obsession for celebrities.

the sentence completion with the answer innocuous–i swear mine said:

the candidate’s words at the debate were so _____ that even his most vehement supporters COULD use something he said to charge against him.

everything keeps saying it said could not, but when the most vehement supporters would not have made sense or had an impact on the reader, even if it said could not. i put uproarious because i read it as the candidate made remarks at the debate that were so flipflop/extreme that his closest supporters could even criticize him.

oh yeah, i think it is -2/3. i can get the answer on my graphing calculator, but how would you get that otherwise?

EDIT: never mind, i get it now

revivals wrong
this one im sure of

I put revival, but after thinking about it:
If it was revival, that would be a revival of movies about the Elizabethan era, implying that there was a previous period of movies about that era, which we can’t assume (a revival of a revival). What this is is a revival of the Elizabethan era itself, so a revival of movies does not make sense.

However, what does make sense is that a large number of recent films about the era indicate an interest in that era.

what was the chemical or biological one again? about pesticides? but what was the sentence?
