@Katecat27 glad I’m not the only one who thought so! But even on practice tests, I’m consistently getting low 600s on the critical reading, and it’s not improving
I was getting 700-740 in the blue book practice tests and got a 680 on CR. I thought math was far easier than normal and got a 720 when I usually got between 660-680 on the blue book tests.
Yo guys what are other good good practice other than the blue book? I’ve basically been through the whole thing.
What was the curve for math and reading? I got a 720 reading so is that -6?
2320
Reading: 800
Math: 780
Writing: 740 :((
Did anyone else do badly on CR? My math and writing scores are in the high 700s but my reading score is 720… and I usually get 750+ on practice…
If that is -6 then it makes some sense. I remember missing around 4 to 6
PSAT: 230 (80 math, 79 writing, 71 CR)
March SAT: 2130 (800 math, 690 writing, 640 CR)
someone, please tell me that CR was particularly hard…
Honestly while I was doing it, I didn’t even think it was that difficult… but I guess I must of missed a lot…
@ScienceGeekGirl I was getting around 720-740 on SAT blue book exams but I got a 680 on this test. So yes I thought CR was much harder than normal.
@ScienceGeekGirl it’s not just you. 780M, 790W and then 630CR…
CR was hard for me, especially the Franklin one did not understand it at all. That passage and the creativity one were really hard for me. But can anyone confirm some sort of reading curve and math curve?
@collegeugh101 I just bought the barron’s / barron’s 2400 book and it worked for a 2400
@sillyface TWINS, except i got 9 essay but whateverrrr
As for the circle one, I honestly have no idea. I picked 5 and got an 800 so…idk how the ppl who picked 6 also got 800. Is -1 800?
CR 680
M 800
W 740
This brings my superscore to 790 CR, 800 M, and 770 W. Done with the SAT!!!
What book do you guys suggest for a 750+ in writing. I thought I did good in writing but I only got 600 and 9 essay.
Also any books you guys suggest for 700+ in critical reading or any tips. That always seems to be my worst section (550)
Erica Meltzer: The Critical Reader super helpful in explaining every single major concept in CR, explains wrong answer choices and how they’re wrong overall probably the best CR book you can get out there.
CR: 710 (this was kind of impossible, very content with this score)
Math: 720 (ehhh)
Writing: 760
Essay: 9
Total: 2190
Not bad for taking it while deathly ill. They must really be a-holes when grading the essays, haha. Probably going to retake in June.
