Is it possible that college board accidentally scored my experimental for CR b/c thats what it seems like when I look at my score
@immersed lol I guess you could contact them and rescore it or something
Hey guys question for you all…
If the experimental section is obviously experimental, is it smart to just use the time as a break and omit the whole section? Is there any reason not to?
Thanks
@bgbgbg I say why not, as long as you’re sure the section is experimental. Don’t let your mind drift off too much to a point that you lose focus and can’t get back into gear for the next section though.
@satfordays haha sorry I just saw your question now:)
I’d recommend sat apps for your phone if you have a smartphone. I study on them whenever I have a few extra minutes somewhere just to keep the question structures fresh in my mind. Also, just practice like crazy! Lots of practice tests/sections should help you boost your scores:) I still need to work on my study habits though, hoping for a 2250+ next time.
2300 here. So happy!
M: 780 - I think I made a silly mistake when solving that 13/16 question. Oh well.
CR: 740 - It’s okay, but it’s slightly higher than expected. The vocab was on the easier side.
W: 780 (10 Essay) - It seems the curve is on the more generous side.
As far as studying is concerned, I just did practice in the blue book and a separate CR workbook (as it seems to be my weak area).
Do guys remember what was the improving paragraphs section for the writing section. I had two writing sections and I’m not sure which one was experimental. Mine were on Wikipedia and elevators.
@zxcvbnm1216 the wikipedia one was not experimental, because I only had one writing section and it was the wikipedia one.
SATs are over. Well, this is the end of an era for me. I don’t think I’ll ever visit CC again. This is my last post here…ever. I can now be found reading in my school library >:D< Goodbye, everyone. I hope you get into the schools you want to. Good luck! It’s going to be a fun ride! :)>-
2260 here I guess I’m pretty happy overall but I’m a little disappointed that math was my worst section because I usually ace it but here are my individual scores
Critical Reading: 800
Math: 720 #simplemistakeskilledme
Writing: 740 (10 essay)
I think I’ll retake it (third try) because I know I can ace math if I don’t make any careless errors.
@yaytest33 Got any advice for doing so well in CR? I got 700 and I really need to break into that 750 range.
@yaytest33 retaking would be a waste of time
@bopokippo you serious? I want a picture that is CRAZY.
600?
Can people help with passage based questions for CR?
Bye guys! You guys were like another family after all these sat discussions.
@Sonny0001 what is ur method to tackle those passage based questions since you got an 800!
@gwash76 not completely sure on the number. but here are the ones i know i had: anthropology, such minerals as, actors did theirs, tomato, and constructed from. I did miss one, but I’m not sure which
@bgbgbg no don’t do that. they compare how you score on the rest of the test to how you do on that for “validity purposes”. not exactly sure why that is, but i’ve heard of people’s score getting invalidated/delayed/etc. because they did that
@gwash76 I got a perfect multiple choice and 800 overall on writing. There were 5 no errors. They were the ones mentioned by @taiocruz.
Is the last new SAT offered in June? Or Fall/Winter 2015?
