@gettingdat2400 @verminsoupreme Is there a chance that you both got 7/3 for the parallel and 9/34 for the complaints? Maybe it was a difference in wording in different versions of same answer. SAT test makers are trying to be sneaky I’d say.
@Tmilli I probably will be on that range too. Any really good estimates on what that score would be with the curve on this test.
@Khaos360 – I’ve followed many of these SAT threads over the last three years, and it is the rule more than the exception that the curve doesn’t vary as much as is predicted on these threads. Put another way, there are a lot of posts of “this time it will be different”, and it’s not.
That said, there is a tab on the College Panda SAT site labelled “Past SAT Curves”. You can go there and see all sorts of past curves that can give you a picture of ‘hard’ vs. ‘easy’ tests. You can also see past curves on erikthered’s site.
But putting out a question to kids on this thread as to whether they think it will be a harsh or easy curve may produce some fun responses, but not a lot of useful ones.
Best of Luck!!
It said vertical line, not horizontal. The answer should be 7.
I remember there was a writing mc question that had a phrase “more conveniently” i think… only conveniently was underlined, not more. Was that the correct answer?
@AsleepATTheWheel so historically, the curve for March Sat follows that of the released ones?
@Willynilly123 I think you are thinking of more “convincingly”…this was the actors question with “did theirs”…I said no error for that.
What questions ended up being the no errors for writing?
I could have sworn it said horizontal. I remember seeing horizontal and thinking, “Hmm, okay so that would be y= a number.” I put 7/3.
I know the one with such minerals was no error.
@SATsRuinLife I don’t believe so… I chose “did theirs” for that question anyway cuz I wasn’t too sure about the parallelism.
If the curves are generally the same, how much would missing 4 on CR be and 4 on Writing with an 8 on the essay? I believe for the Jan test, missing like 8 on CR was like a 700…
@SimpleBio Are you sure? I put “such minerals as.”
Yeah I remember it said vertical line. I’m like 100% positive about that.
And what are people saying about the 34/68 and 9/34?
Hey do you guys remember if the experimental section was a critical reading section? If so do you guys think it was the one with the passage about Newtonian physics vs. quantum mechanics (modern physics as they called it)?
@RHSclassof16 Should be 34/68 which simplifies to 1/2. I’m confident I didn’t miss any in math, so yeah.
@danm235 I didn’t get that, my experimental was writing, so yes, that was experimental
@Willynilly123 Ok Good that’s what I said.
What’s the highest essay score I can get if I didn’t use like any good vocabulary.
Curve will be about the same as the January curve.
In January writing curve was -1 800 with 10 essay which was extremely lenient
math was -1 770 -2 740 -3 720 -4 700 I believe
Cr was -1-2 800 -3 790 -4 770
The no errors were: (5)
Tomatoes
Skiing
Buildings / hurricane (most likely)
Had never had
Did theirs (most likely)
@RHSclassof16 Vocab doesn’t really matter, it’s how you format it honestly. I’m not sure I"m gonna get a good essay score though, not too sure about my examples, since I used the creation of new technology as an example. Not sure if that counts as art.
What counts as good vocab xD
Don’t really know. I pretty much used words that a 4th grader would know.
