@AsleepAtTheWheel Do you think they would curve this SAT more than the December one?
I am still reasonably certain that one of the answers was “interesting but futile”. The author of the creativity passage spoke as if there was no reason for these theories because creativity is no more or less creative when work becomes popular. But, he goes on to discuss these theories because they are interesting. Anyone?
@Willynilly123 Can you clarify the open ended answers like for perimeter problem and such?
14 is right
@SimpleBio perimeter was 12.6
@SimpleBio 12.6 was the answer for the perimeter question
Lol you guys worry too much. Why cant we wait till the score report come out? We cant change anything now!!!
@satanxietea What are other people saying they put? I remember that answer choice but I didn’t put that.
I heard a lot of people always decide to take the March one. So if more people take it, wouldnt that mean the curve wont be in our favor?
I’ve heard useful but divisive and difficult but worthwhile. However, useful and worthwhile are similar and I do not believe the author himself spoke positively towards these ideologies.
@central275 Yeah I also heard that more people took this March one. Does anyone know if they would curve this higher than the December one?
@satanxietea I put useful but divisive, due to the fact there was a split, between those who said creativity exists even if it’s not recognized, and those who believed that creativity only exists once it’s recognized.
@satanxietea OMG! I put “useful and worthwhile.” I hope it isn’t wrong. Do you remember the question when it asked for that rhetorical device the author used? The answer choices were personification, euphemism, analogy, etc. I put euphemism for that one.
This is my second SAT and I wish I had taken the one in May or even January.
ok so i have read some comments and found out there are some controversies.
This is what i think (don’t 100% believe though!)
- ESSAY : Self discipline removes joy or art changes life
- WRITING:
NO ERRORS: TOMATO/SKIING(aka had never had)/ACTORS(aka did theirs)
ERRORS: had sank -> had sunk & built from -> built of/with
can anyone plz tell me if the anthropology was error in the “past and present” part???
- READING: vocab answers that i remember discreet ingrained untenable monolithic jovial unproccessed (raw) prodigious-trivial
saburo (controversial #1)
supportive mom
delighted mom (for those who say it’s sarcastic i think that just because the father and son had never talked before, it doesn’t mean that the mom is sarcastic. It could also be a true sense of joy because they are finally going together)
changing relationship
the water in the net: hard to understand because of his abstract talk
creativity(controversial #2)
sth and undecisive
appreciative
present a theory (though i chose it wrong)
mendel was not considered creative because it was not in reach of the people domain (answer A)
This is because mendel did not reveal his work because of fear of the collision with religious practice, Which means that there wan NO FIELD for Mendel at all.
Franklin(controversial #3)
pleasing story: unsound because Franklin’s map was accurate enough (answer E)
- MATH
the cricle was the 5th one
the sum of the length in lines with two circles was 48 (6x8)
if you have anything to refuse with, PLEASE TAG ME
I agree with you in that sense but I am unsure of the useful aspect. He never really suggests it should be used but more so it shouldn’t, and in the end mentions in the conclusion that the system was basically dysfunctional.
What was the tomato question?
@sateven I think for the past and present one I put No Error
I put personification for that one. The author describes the tales as if they are lively, growing taller and taller. I could be wrong though, I’ve heard a lot of controversy over this.
I had 5 no errors.
The tomato question.
The construction building
The leading actors “theirs”
The second skiing (had never had)
and
The anthropology. Did you also have these?
@CEOSandeep @satanxietea I said analogy because it compared something to mosaics
