*Official May 6th SAT Discussion*

^ I’m not sure my scores could drop.

I don’t remember the exact order either, but I had four math sections.
The essay was the personal/group interests.
Math was pretty bad. I had a math section right after the essay, and only one section had grid-ins. I don’t really remember any questions, but I didn’t have the airport one.
My CR’s were the paintings, the cheetah, the asian poets, and Thomas Jefferson. I had a hard time with Jefferson and the Cheetahs, but most of the sentences weren’t bad.
Writing seemed easy… looks like most of the writing sections were the same.

This was my order of testing if I remember correctly…I haven’t seen anyone else’s like this:

1 - Essay
2 - Writing
3 - CR
4 - CR
5 - Math
6 - CR
7 - Math
8 - Writing
9 - Math
10 - Writing

It was something like that…I might be wrong though

For those of you who had an extra CR section, the one with Dennis and the diary was definitely experimental, cause I did not have that (I had Freaky Paintings / *****y Asians&Jefferson / Cheetahs)

But I wanna know which Math was experimental.

Did all of you have the section w/:

Pie graphs with three questions (dealing with crops and acres of land)
The A, B, C points
What is the least possible value of j

If some of you didn’t have this, it was experimental.
If all of you did, then I guess it wasn’t…

I had four math sections but I don’t think I had the section withonevoice mentioned.

I didn’t have the math section with the pie graphs dealing with crops and land, so it must be experimental.

From reading everything within this thread, I can assess that I missed five so far out of everything, four in one section of the math, and possibly one in the Verbal.

O my goodness, I feel so dumb. I thought I did so well too, I hope I did better than my 2250. -_- And it was such an easy test too, I made such careless mistakes.

I was taking it easy, considering that this wouldn’t do anything for me, I’m a senior and have already been accepted into college…

I was relaxed and calm. I was too relaxed I guessed. I had fun though, the math questions were interesting.

Anyone remember the cheetah passage well? Any of those q’s? I think I totally screwed up on those even though it probably was really easy… my brain wasn’t functioning anymore by section 8
Oh yea! and a q on the biography of Vemeer…about the guy in the paintin what was it? beseech, forlorn? I don’t think I got that one either =(

can i possibly have different set of questions from someone who took at the same place at the exact same time?? my friend is suggesting that my test could have been different from his… but i don’t think this is true, is it?

answer to mozart question?

What was the experimental section in this test:

1) Essay
2) Writing 25 mins
3) Math 25 mins Free response
4) Math 25 mins All MC
5) Reading 25 mins (the eerie portrait that gazed at the little boy. <– pedophile)
7) Math 25 mins All MC ( one with square feet increase in some airport)
6) Reading ( the 2 writers/did not like each other)
8) Math 20 mins
9) Reading 20 mins (cheetah)
10) Writing 10 mins

I know that is it math but which problems section do you think it is in?

hahah wow.

That test was easier than the April ACT by sooooo much.

Some thoughts:

Math: Honestly, an 800 is possible, more likely to be mid to high 700s.
CR: Cheetah and Asian Girl questions were tough, but I probably did alright. Hoping for a 700.
Writing: didn’t finish my essay :\ Rest was straightforward enough. Shooting for 700.

Yeah, no idea about the experimental.

I definitely did not have anything about an airport.

Wait in one of my math sections I had this problem:

x^2+kx+15 = (x+t)(x+5)

a) 8
b) 9
c) 10
d) 15

That is the only one I know I got wrong. I am hoping that that was experimental.

the answer was 8, bc
t must be 3, 3*5 = 15
if you plug that in, you can figure out the rest

it wasn’t exp

That flower question people were asking earlier was “Plants grown for their flowers must be treated with low nitrogen soil because excessive nitrogen promotes leaves at the expense of flowers”

And, there was one writing question above the “lively, chattering, tierd cake”… what was that?

i think it was exp ivyleague—i didnt have it!

Thankyou silvermoon!! Anyhow I guess they can change the writing sections even like one question. I had every writing questiond iscussed except for the nitrogen one. Very strange… I am still confused. but did anyone have a question like this in writing?

“The recently discovered photographs have recently been put up in a musem to etc. etc.”. Where did u put the error?

Oh and on the cheetah passage I never had a question about wolves elephants or birds that you guys are discussing…

Wait a second… was this elephant bird wolf the last question on the first page about the cheetah passage (there were 2 pages of questions was this the last question on the first page)?

It wasn’t experimental. I had only three math sections and I’m positive I had that question.

I don’t remember what I put for that photograph sentence… what’d you guys put?

Umm… that beluga whale/wolf question was the last question on the second page.
