Yes, a link will be sent via email that has the decision.
wwhen is Dday?
@jacobson123 March 19th or 20th, I think.
Hoping this is me on March 19…
@superscientist He’s crying because he owes 300k for an undergraduate degree. Just kidding though, I wish everyone valued their education as much as he does.
Wish you all good luck!
good luck everyone! one more week!
@iamoneofone How are you so sure?
@thebingbong
Most decision release dates can be accurately predicted within a couple days based on recent years. Of course, we could theoretically have another month to wait, but it’s unlikely.
You guys are probably right that it’s this Thursday or Friday but for us in the ED round this year, it was SO agonizing when results got delayed for almost a week so for your own sanity I would be careful about convincing yourself decisions HAVE to come out a week from now. Good luck to all of you, hope to see you in the Fall!
^That was super painful
Super good luck to all! I am excited to meet the other half of the class! And remember, there is always a school out there for you, whatever the decision is.
Good luck to everyone!! Hoping decisions come out on Thursday! Do results usually come out in the evening?
Would they make an announcement or would they randomly start emailing?
@thebingbong There wasn’t prior notification two years ago (couldn’t find 2018 discussion thread) until someone called admissions the week of asking. They’ve released on the third Thursday of March for the last few years though, so March 19th starting from 5pm CST is my guess.
I remember for ED Class of 2017 some people were literally calling the first person to get their email a liar/prankster, and RD was pretty much the same way. So no, we really had no idea. I’m gonna agree with @hagzzz though, Thursday of finals week is the most likely.
Is an email send out for both accepted and rejected students, or just accepted students?
Oh, and do interviews really not bolster your chances at all?
@stressed4lyfe Decisions are released by email and are sent to everyone who applied, no matter if they’re accepted, waitlisted, or dnied.
If the interview report was exceedingly glowing then I suspect it would add to your application. However, if it was relatively ordinary, not exceedingly positive or bad, then it likely would not make a significant difference to your admission decision. After all, the interview is optional, and, notably, by request only.
If our predicted decision release date of this week is right, shouldn’t NU have sent out a link to access our decisions already. Giving us the link two days before seems too late in my opinion.
they email your decision so no portal involved
Oh so you mean I’m just going to minding my own business one evening when BAM! “Click here to view your Rejec-- I mean-- Admission Decision” comes up on my phone lol
