S did not get that email, and has not yet submitted his FAFSA. So I guess things aren’t looking too good for him. Bummer!
I didn’t get the email either…but I’m an international student, thinks that’s probably why
The only way the financial reminder letter might indicate admissions status is if NW needs the FAFSA to give you a merit scholarship. Rice is like that. Even if you won’t qualify for financial aid you have to submit all the paperwork by March 1 to be considered for merit.
NU, not NW
Thanks, Northwestern Dad. NU :-*
i didn’t apply for financial aid so did those emails only address that?
@2015Lalo NU doesn’t need you to report your financial status for consideration of the merit scholarship from Bienen fyi. I didn’t submit but I got the scholarship
Good to know and congratulations to you!
Thought the deadline for FAFSA and CSS submissions was February 15th? Anyone know what happens if you missed the deadline?
When I called Rice to ask that question, they told me it would delay any offer they would make you, if you were accepted. It might be a good idea to call NU.
Does anyone have an educated prediction as to when NU will release its decisions?
Last year applicants received their decisions by email on March 20th at around 6 I think, so I imagine it will be around the same time.
Email said by early April. But from last year’s posts, possibly March 20th.
Last year was March 20th, the year before March 21st. Both of those are Thursdays so my best guess is March 19th.
For those of you who applied/interviewed for HPME: does anyone know if the HPME decisions come out along with the regular decisions (are they enclosed in the same letter)?
I’m really really scared to get my hopes up for a March 19-20th decision release because the Early Decision round was stressful enough. We waited 5 days past the expected release date and for me it ended up a deferral. To be that close now would make the wait all the worse
I wish the very best for you, Jamesesesess.
@NorthwesternDad Thank you so much
and for your help in my other threads. Advice like yours and that of others really makes the process less stressful.
Also an international student asking for aid… Although I have zero hope I am still crazily anxious:/
Does Northwestern notify by email?
