****OFFICIAL Northwestern CLASS OF 2019 Discussion Thread****

@xtina1001 I have no idea, I saw on their tumblr thing that someone said the 19th, but somewhere else all they said was by early april. I hope it’s today, UCLA comes out tomorrow, so if NU and Michigan come out to, it could be a great day, or a really bad day for some of us.

Anybody… anything?

@george30 I applied to the same schools, and I totally agree. Best of luck to you!

I’m just gonna sit here in denial for the next hour since I’m not emotionally ready to wait until tomorrow

Nothing!!! It’s just so sick how long it takes them to release the decisions, they probably made like 95% of them by march 1st.

good luck to everyone if the decisions come out tonight! You all deserve it and you’ve all worked so hard.

@xtina1001 Thanks! You too!

I’m seeing a movie tomorrow that starts at 7:15 CST so hopefully I’ll have my decision by then :frowning: today was so convenient!

can they pls hurry the f up honestly this is so not good for our health…

According to last year’s thread, the first batch of RD decisions came out between 6:00 and 6:15 cst. I’m not giving up yet.

I hope it comes out today, otherwise it’ll be another sleepless night with my heart racing lol

So sorry for the fire drill everyone has gone through. My daughter applied to Northwestern at the last minute. We are from the east coast and my D applied to all east coast schools plus NU. We did not get a chance to visit before she applied. According to the the website and the excitement I see on this thread it looks like NU is a highly desirable school. Would you mind sharing your thoughts about the school. Thank you in advance for sharing.

@‌MomofK - It’s a “mini-Ivy” - very, very difficult to get in, very competitive especially in engineeering and music with a strong worldwide reputation of excellence. The weather is brutal most of the year, as I live 15 minutes away and it is 35 degrees and completely cloudy today, even at the end of March. It is set along Lake Michigan with nice beaches that you can use about three months of the year and 20 minutes from Chicago by car or easy train ride. GREAT reputation as the best of the Midwest. Good luck!

Thank you. Sounds like a great school.

wut; this ain’t some small liberal arts college

i think its nice that you are on here for your daughter. I am from the east coast too, and I have never visited, but it just seems like a perfect fit to me, and I haven’t felt that way about any other school. It has a prime location and teachers that want to help, and it is a tough school haha! @MomofK

Allows students to take classes in all of the colleges. Tri-semester system. Well known as great school in great city with well adjusted chill kids and pretty good sports

It’s not a small liberal arts college, it’s a full University. However, it is getting almost as competitve as the Ivy league. It is located in a beautiful suburban setting.

Best of luck and thank you for your reply.

So… nobody got an email?
