Didn’t someone earlier say that their friend got it 6:15 Chicago time last year? So im expecting they all release them from around 6 - 8 EST so people will be with their families
@runnergirl09 UVA came out today, and I had no idea until a friend asked if I was admitted.
I think the decisions won’t be coming out today, as quoted by a post earlier this afternoon here:
"I emailed my admissions counselor last night, and her reply is as follows:
We will not be releasing this week. We hope to have decisions out next week.

They won’t disclose the date even the day of. It is possible that they just said that to not disclose the day. I doubt they’re still reviewing. They had fewer applicants this year than last year.
I think we sit tight and wait until after 5 PM CST, 6 for east coast. I remember distinctly a post a few weeks ago by a member with a lot of posts, speaking with some authority, that decisions would be released on the 20th or 21st.
I am guessing, but I think in 15 minutes when their office closes we might begin to see some action but this is purely a guess.
It’s best that we sit tight and wait. Calling the admission office is useless.
Everyone is so bitter- Please calm down guys we’re all upset. Being angry isn’t going to make the situation any better. As irritating as it is, we just have to be patient. Good luck to you all!
yeah or emailing them-- doesn anyone have evidence that today is the day? too many decisions next week and the week after, I wanna get this one over with

Just stop contacting Northwestern, email and phone. They will not release or confirm anything; they are simply not allowed to.
I’m predicting they won’t come out today.

Hi! Not-very-longtime lurker here. From what I can gather from all the past posts, here’s why the decision should come today:
- Historically it’s what’s expected.
- Someone’s friend’s dad said it would come today.
- There was that article that said it would come on the third week of March.
- The admissions office is being weird and isn’t saying anything useful.
Here’s why it shouldn’t come today:
- Someone emailed the admissions office and they responded saying it would be sometime next week, hopefully (Mariana), and that it wouldn’t be today.
- The Admissions Office hasn’t said anything about it being today.
- Officially, they have until April to decide.
I guess you should make your own judgment as to whether it’ll come today or not given the information we have. Or, you can just wait and see. 
Okay. 6 PM. Let’s see…
@Frazzled503, happy to be disappointed. If I get rejected, that means I helped to lower NU’s acceptance rate, which means that NU will have become more selective, which means the quality of students applying will continue to rise.
