Also (this is to anyone who knows the answer), do admission decisions come through the email first then snail mail? Will the decision be told directly in the email or will NU link us to a portal that tells us the decision?

Hey guys, stalker here. To be honest I wasn’t planning on posting anytime soon, but now that my anxiety has got the best of me I probably should rant and seek sympathy in you guys.
I’ve been obsessively checking my mailbox every two hours or so despite knowing that nothing is going to arrive for the next three days (or probably four because I’m like half the world away from Evanston). A friend of mine got accepted into an Ivy, and another is getting her decisions by tomorrow evening at the latest. Then there’s me, not even being able to stomach anything since breakfast but scenarios about what’s going to happen following the next email from NU Admissions. I don’t think I’d be able to eat that well though, been feeling queasy ever since yesterday morning.

My friend got into Duke and my close friend was deferred from Harvard this week. All I want is to know if I’m gonna be a Wildcat or not cause I hate feeling like my life is unplanned.

@browantscollege nothing will 100% kill your chances, per se, a lot of other factors play into the decision as well. I sure hope 3.55UW doesnt kill your chances because I only have a 3.65UW.
Wait, where did you get that from? In past years they’ve given NetID instructions through the regular mail. Do you mean the questbridge portal?
@browantscollege GPA is very important, but if you have other things like really stellar extracurriculars, awards, etc., they will make up for your GPA

I submitted an additional extracurricular activity list to Northwestern and they said they added it to my file. I just realized I forgot to include a national showcase for my athletics. If I emailed them now, would it still be considered? I’m thinking it’d be too late. Worth a try?
So are we going to hear back on Monday or Tuesday?

Most likely Tuesday. A bunch of people called them and the admissions folks seemed pretty adamant about the 15th. Also a BUNCH of schools are releasing results in the 15th so it makes sense.
