Acceptance = Screw finals
Rejection = Screwed for finals
Deferral = Screwed by finals
@tcq1234444 -100%
isn’t tuesday more likely?
@tcq1234444 everyone whose said theyll come out tomorrow has just been speculating, if ya go through this threat most of the people saying tuesday have called/emailed admissions! highly doubt tmrw is happening but it would be rad if it did!
@smb63097 ha that could not be more accurate
Hi!
I’m a prospective student who wants to double major across Weinberg and Bienen. How do I specify that on the common app? I put down Weinberg as my primary school, but do I put Bienen down anywhere? Thanks!!
@etsy98 I think you have to select dual degree program
@smb63097 Haha I was thinking the exact same thing! We’re so screwed :))
what days are your guys’ finals?
they start wednesday for me… tuesday evening is going to be the worst for me- if im rejected ill be too sad to study if im accepted i definitely won’t study at all… @driedmangoes wbu?
Hi @etsy98,
On the Common App there should be a pulldown under “academics” for the Northwestern Supplement that reads “To which Northwestern school(s) are you applying?” You should respond “School of Music and College of Arts and Sciences Duel Degree.” Your primary school will be Bienen and you will receive an admission decision from Northwestern University for the Bienen School of Music.
@artandscience123 wednesday as well! haha I feel you on that
I hit the finals jackpot this year… They are in order of ascending difficulty (more time to study for harder ones) and they are perfectly spaced out with one per day. I saw the schedule and almost cried with joy.
how likely is it that northwestern will retract an acceptance if my grades drop to b+s or bs second semester? or if my first semester grades are horrible this year? for ED of course : ((((
^^^
I know someone at NU who got straight C’s her senior year and they didn’t take it away. I think it’s only if you fail.
Isn’t the general rule of thumb to have a B-range average and no grades in the D range?
I’m the only person on CC I’ve ever seen who wants to study Civil Engineering haha. Everyone wants industrial engineering or mech. engineering.
This may sound bleak and self-contradictory, but one of the ways I’m trying to brace myself for rejection is by making a “Why Northwestern Sucks” list. Obviously Northwestern is my first choice and I love the program I’m applying to, but I’m trying to focus my attention on what makes Northwestern less than perfect for me so I can (hopefully) be less disappointed if I don’t get in.
While expecting rejection might sound like a good outlook I would say that it will probably be more painful in the long run, at least for me. Dwelling on negatives tends to be more painful then the actual rejection would end up being, and on the flip side it won’t make the acceptance any more wonderful.
