****OFFICIAL Northwestern CLASS OF 2020 Discussion Thread****

@matildak6 Two of my oldest friends also applied to NU. There’s no sense of competition, we just like to laugh about the fact that none of us will get in.

ED came out at 5pm so if it does come out today it’ll probs be at 5

@Aghjbh14 I certainly hope so!

5pm et or ct

Read my lips: no new decisions are coming out today.

@Nedcone my intuition is 100% positive too

i have a strong feeling its coming out tomorrow

Hey guys! I’m an ED kid. I don’t want to make anyone nervous but for ED the email notifying you about the decision was released a day late so if you log into your portal the decision might already be out. What I did was give my password to my parents while I distracted myself with naps and tv shows haha. Overthinking can really wear you out so just try to relax and remember that you’ll do great things wherever you go. Best of luck to all of you!

What day of the week did ED come out @headintheclauds

@Nedcone I love the reference :slight_smile:

@cheerleader16: I got MIT and Cornell decisions earlier this week, and I should be getting JHU on Friday.

They were supposed to come out by December 15 (Tuesday) and all of their social media accounts said it would be Tuesday but the portal had our decisions on that Monday December 14. They won’t email you until they’re sure every single decision is out and correct so that’s why the portal will have it at least 24 hours before they notify you about it

Wait why do we think decisions may be released today?

@headintheclauds That makes sense. Michigan did that too — I got an email the day after I got accepted.

@headintheclauds but for ED the portal was updated right before they sent the emails

@Anonymoose3 Did you get a likely letter? I thought all Cornell RD decisions came out on Ivy Day (March 31st)? I applied ED and was rejected lol so just wondering.

@NICE8X - Yes, I got a likely letter.

@Anonymoose3 Congrats! :slight_smile:

@petercsauer I got my email a day after I opened my portal but it could be different for each person
