****OFFICIAL Northwestern CLASS OF 2020 Discussion Thread****

not today

And what did the man say to death?

lol this is so frustrating

so is it safe to assume that even if it is not this week, it will be monday or tuesday of next week?

I don’t think they have any conception of what this feels like to us. Enough with the “by april 1”. You know the date, so give it to us! How hard is it?! :^o I think this emoji is appropriate

To be honest, rejection, at this point, is better than the wait I’ll have to endure until early April when my last college decision comes back. I want this all to be over as soon as possible.

Honestly, I think that none of this anxiety and subsequent anger would have taken place if they had not inform us via twitter that this is the week

Nothing like a nice UChicago waitlist to set the tone of me waiting in vain once more for Northwestern to release decisions

I agree. Right now
Northwestern and JHU, then Ivy Day, then Stanford, Duke, and Georgetown. What a fun next few weeks
 :S

.

did most of you apply to both NU and UChicago? I find the two schools really different which is interesting

I applied to both, got deferred from UChicago and then rejected.

@Anonymoose3 duke day is before Ivy day (estimated to be 24th or 25th)

College acceptances are like riding a bike. Only the bike’s on fire and the ground’s on fire and everything’s on fire because you’re in hell.

Thanks @VaishS. I hadn’t heard anything other than “by or on April 1st”.

How do you check them? I didn’t get a portal

@Darude We’re supposed to get emails when decisions come up. No one has official access to the portal yet, but many people on here have found a back door of sorts to gain access. They haven’t seen their decisions yet either, however. We’re all just kind of sitting here waiting

Does anyone have any stats on acceptance rate for internationals that require financial aid?

Waitlisted by UChicago
hope Northwestern will bring a better result.

Does anyone think that NW requesting tax/financial forms is a good sign? Two years ago my sister and her boyfriend both applied to NW, financial forms were requested from boyfriend, not sister. Her boyfriend was accepted and she was not. That was two years ago, though.
