@cutters my sister is a senior chemical engineering student at MIT and will be attending Stanford for grad school. She was very qualified as a senior but got turned down by places with weaker programs (compared to MIT) like Yale, WashU, and Johns Hopkins. It was pretty surprising to her, too. Basically what I’m trying to say is she definitely ended up where she was meant to be and I’m sure your daughter will too! Especially because UChicago isn’t particularly well known for engineering, I think she’ll be better off somewhere else

rejected…was rejected by chicago yesterday too so this stings. Does anyone know if this means I have any chance at all of getting into an ivy? My stats are in the range but my already low expectations for March 31st just got a lot lower…
