Rejected, with 4.23 weighted, good essays. It’s not a big deal though, because A) it’s way too expensive, B) it wasn’t my first choice, and C) I know NU’s pretty difficult to get into! Good luck to those still waiting,
Did anyone rejected visit the campus before applying?
@Kasami Yeah, I visited the campus and got rejected.
I visited and was rejected
I’m a legacy and got rejected.
1925 spots for over 35000, but since over 1000 got in early action it’s even less.
Probably 925/34000 = 2.7% acceptance for RD
Hopefully my math was fine. Now I don’t feel so bad about getting rejected.
Well at least we’re all in this together.
Wait are you guys serious about the 5.5 percent acceptance rate
@elc2435 Michigan just has so much to offer. Theres such a large and diverse student population that you’re almost certain to find people you’ll get along with. They have a massive alumni network which can almost ensure you a job out of college, a ridiculous amount of resources and they’re really highly ranked. As an engineering student, their engineering department is ranked 6th, and NU’s is only ranked 12th so that was a big plus. Ann arbor is also an amazing college town and I feel like you’d never get bored there.
@chicago107 I assumed the 5% was for RD already, counting ED acceptances? The numbers don’t add up since a quick Google search indicates an overall 12% acceptance rate. But my math is not great either so someone feel free to correct me.
@chicago107 that’s assuming 100% yield. But the RD acceptance rate is extremely low (probably ~8%)? That’s my guess bc they took a lot ED
@asianfang they took about 50 percent ED
waitlisted here and at washu i feel like i’m going to get waitlisted at all of my schools hahahahahaha this sucks
The acceptance rate will be higher than 5% because not everyone who gets in will go. I think the yield is around 50%, so acceptances for 2-3,000 kids RD is more likely. Making an RD acceptance rate of ~3000/34000, or 8.8%
Northwestern accepted me! What an amazing day
Rejected Haha. Oh well I probably wasn’t going to go here anyways if I didn’t get a lot of money. But I’ll post my stats for people to see.
UW GPA:3.77
W GPA:4.14
Class Rank:27/355
SAT:2080 (650 CR, 740 Math, 690 Writing)
Ah clears it up. My bad
I visited the campus, but I didn’t do an interview and didn’t have anyone edit my essays, but was still accepted. I’m really not sure about holistic admissions after seeing so many fantastic students here rejected.
HAHAHAHAHA. I didn’t get in. But, these acceptances are well deserved.
@a1h313 same I also got waitlisted from UChicago. I really hope this isn’t gonna happen for all of my other colleges. It’s my worst nightmare lol
