To answer your question from a few pages back, no we are not Asian. My daughter is not considered diverse. She too was rejected from Northwestern and U Chicago. Accepted UNC Chapel Hill, Michigan and Vanderbilt.

@Nerdboy98 A roll of the die my friend. UChicago waitlist but Northwestern acceptance has me wondering the same thing. All of my friends were rejected.
@mileabovethesky Wait a minute now, no reason to discredit the hard work of applicants for being URM’s. College confidential is such a minute sample size of a 35,000 applicant pool. This data is so skewed that often times it should be taken with more than just a grain of salt. I understand feeling upset, but from one rejected student to another, this bashing is a little unnecessary.

@mileabovethesky Hey, I’m sorry Northwestern didn’t work out for you. But your attitude has got to change. Saying things like “They’re all URM’s lol. This is a joke. There are people WAAAY higher qualified. Northwestern slackin.” Is just rude, offensive, and untrue. You’re going to go to a great school, but you can get your anger/sadness out in other, more productive ways. If you want to have a long discussion about race based affirmative action feel free to message me, but that shouldn’t take place on this thread.

@mileabovethesky That’s cool but no one really cares. You got rejected, others got in, and Northwestern clearly felt you wouldn’t add anything to the community. To reduce somebody’s accomplishments to being a URM is so pathetic, and so typical of CC seniors who are so self-absorbed. As you said, Caltech is miles better, well done btw
