** Official Northwestern Class of 2021 Discussion Thread **

Did you all get an invite to apply to the Integrated Science Program? I received it a few weeks ago and applied by the March 1 deadline.

yeah, i got that email a while ago

if I didn’t get the integrated science program email but I applied as a science major (in the natural sciences but not biology) that means I probably didn’t get into northwestern right? :frowning:

@allima I don’t know if it should mean anything. The ISP is for applicants who indicated interest in Bio, Chem, Physics, or Math (calc). Don’t get discouraged!

Got ISP email, philosophy major. Maybe it’s cuz I submitted Math 1 & 2 subject tests.

@IvyKid1 Ah that’s true I submitted Math 2 and Chemistry.

i submitted math 2…

Bio major submitted math 2 no ISP email

i applied for linguistics and/or compsci and i got it. hmmm

no ISP email for me too this is odd.

Got ISP mail long back. Immediately after applying RD and applied.

Applying the Integrated Science program doesn’t increase your chance to get into NU. It is a separate admission process. You have to get into NU first before someone in ISP reviews your application. It doesn’t mean anything receiving or nor receiving an ISP invitation. You should all just be relax at this point and wait for the decision. Good Luck, everyone!

DS received an invitation to apply to ISP in late Jan. He was busy with mid-terms and didn’t apply, and then it slipped through the cracks and the deadline passed.

I’m wondering if it’s a strike against him… :frowning:

@silver67 I just posted the answer to your question.

Saw that right after I posted @efr009 Thanks!

Decision date anyone?

@voltthorn Last year decisions were released Thursday, March 17 so March 16 this year is a good bet. I’m just not sure if we’re receiving emails with our decisions or if we are going to have portals to check (they had portals last year but no notification from NU yet to set one up).

What are my chances? Applied for CS.
ACT: 33 (34 Superscore)
IB: 40/42 (Math, Chemistry, Economics - HLs; Physics SL; 7s in all)
Recommendations: 7/10, 9/10, 10/10, 9/10
Essay: 9/10

@nervous17yearold lets see! What time do decisions usually come out?

@nervous17yearold do you know when did 2021 ED applicants and last year RD applicants have their portals accounts? Was it just before the decision release or after the admission office received their materials?
