I don’t think they sent out an email a day before last year’s release. I think they just sent it that night
They came out around 5:45 pm ET last year
@nervous17yearold @Maggie1224 I am in the same boat as you guys… Very discouraging but we have to remember that each university looks for different criteria/types of applicants. A rejection from one does not mean a rejection from another! In fact, WashU admissions seems to be a weird anomaly; so many people get rejected from there and end up at even higher ranked schools!
I’m so excited to not get any sleep tonight!! Great!!!
Ive been waiting on a decision for Northwestern since i applied back in october and was deferred from early decision. Ive been waiting for 6months now
Wait wtf Northwestern is coming out tomorrow? Nice way to complement my rejection from WashU
wait how do we know that northwestern is coming out tomorrow?
@sonia1216 We don’t know for sure, but the Northwestern staff account posted that decisions would be available either late this week or early next week, and the office will be closed early tomorrow, so we are taking an educated guess that it will be tomorrow.
I have a question. Did anyone else not love the supplemental essay? I feel like I couldn’t get creative enough with it, and essays are usually the strongest components of my applications. I haven’t read any other comments about it so I’m jw. I think my common app essay was far superior.
My essay was really creative.
Is there an ETA tomorrow?
@tenaciousteen113 i felt it was hard to convey everything i liked about northwestern in the word limit (without being to boring)
agreed. My essay started with a creative anecdote, but then I had to apply that why Northwestern is good fit. Hard do limited words, suppose it was decent. Just wondering!.
Oops! Left out some words :-}
Good luck everybody! Hope your dreams come true!
Anyone know what time they’ll be out?
@treander1 that’s true! i’ll keep my fingers crossed for all of us
also, @ everyone talking about the supplement, I think that NU keeps the word limit pretty minimal to keep that essay straightforward. Your common app essay should exhibit your creativity and personality but the supplement should primarily help them answer, “How will this student do at our school?” So don’t worry if you couldn’t get too creative in the supplement. Good luck to all!
@nervous17yearold lol i wasn’t trying to be creative–i didn’t want to just regurgitate a list of facts and what i liked about the school
hey all, i am really worried because my counselor didn’t submit my mid year report. Does this mean I automatically get rejected?
