Hey guys!! Super nervous NU applicant here. I’ve already been accepted into UVa but if I get into NU I’d definitely go there instead!
I’m hoping that we get our decisions later this week rather than early next week, I can’t wait another minute. What do you guys think?

I think tomorrow would be the perfect day to announce decisions given the big game. Can you imagine a Northwestern win plus an acceptance on the same day! @gmanhax
So, I called the undergrad office because I had a question about idoc, but I was met with an answering machine, which gave their office hours, and get this: apparently, they’re going to be closed early tomorrow, at 3pm. It said specifically that they had normal office hours, except for Thursday, March 16th, when they will be closed early. This has to mean that they’re giving results tomorrow right?
I didn’t get that message when I called…they didn’t mention Thursday at all.
What time tomorrow are we thinking???
Is there an online application portal for Northwestern? I got an email that they received everything, but I didn’t get any info on an online portal…

Eh. I don’t believe an admissions office would close early for a game if they still had work to do/decisions to send out. Just my guess though.
I was rejected from WashU too but I’m hoping the NU supplement helps admissions see that I really want to go.
This is no ordinary, regular season game. It’s a Northwestern historical event!
I also got rejected from WashU. Not feeling great about NU now but crossing my fingers…

feel like that “early next week” is just a back-up option for “later this week”…but I think it would be reasonable for the admission office to close for such a big game, and the email notification (especially with that we need to set up an account) should be sent prior to the release
I agree with the notion that it’s perfectly reasonable to believe that the admissions office is closing up early due to the big game.
That said, if I was an AO, I’d have much more fun watching the game knowing that I won’t have any more application-related work to attend to afterwards…
hi guys I am a northwestern ed reject, i totally understand all the stress you are experiencing right now. I mean, hey you are a Northwestern University rd applicant/ed defer, you must have lots of good school choices right now so don’t be way to stressed out! I donot want to say “you are smart and you will be successful wherever you end up” those bored and obvious stuff, I want to say: eat lots of junk food while waiting for nd decision, it helps; and don’t forget to study for AP tests!!!
anyone knows what happened before last year’s decision release? is the email sent to students hours before or as the decision release? or it was sent days before to tell students to register an account?
