- Counselor Rec: 6/10 -- I go to a huge public school. I don't even think my counselor knows my name. these are super generic for every student at my school.

- Why you think you were accepted/not accepted and general comments:** I think that my "Why NU" essay rly stood out. I did a ton of research about the school and found this program called MMSS (mathematical models of social sciences) that rly piqued my interest. I think this showed that I actually had a genuine interest in the school and separated me from other students who may have just been applying to NU because of the name or its prestige. Also, I think that bc i'm a girl w/a strong interest and background in math, I'm a compelling applicant for that specific program.
