Rejected. Really hurts, ND was my dream school since I was a child. Gotta get over it and move on. Now choosing between Boston College and UMich

Deferred and then gratefully accepted. This has to be the happiest day of my life I feel incredibly blessed.
Rejected: 1430 SAT (720 math & 710 read/write). Hispanic. I have a sibling who graduated last year & is getting his PhD there now. My essays were absolutely superb. I assume my recs were good, but I didn’t see them. I have great EC’s (Founder & president of my own 4 year organization for refugees in my community/captain of cross country/VP of investment club/FBLA/etc etc). 3.95 GPA UW/5.56W. I took 13 AP courses throughout high school. I genuinely have no idea how I got rejected besides my test scores I suppose? I thought my hooks were good but I suppose not. This was my absolute dream.

I am curious if anyone knows if letters of acceptance/denial are personalized for the individual or the same for everyone? If anyone knows, please let me know. Thank you!

My son and I are going to Admitted Student Days April 2-3, flying out from Seattle. He has never been to Indiana, or Illinois for that matter.
