***Official Nov 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

@Pacopowner‌ That so unfair. I missed 3 on June SAT and got 720 and now colleges are going to think I performed poorly on this one even though I performed the same.

@fcm951‌ Good luck to you!!! Maybe we’ll see each other on the January test thread

I can’t believe it. I got 670 on CR on my first SAT and I got a 630 today. I don’t know what happened. I studied with Erica Meltzer’s critical reader… If my score stayed the same in CR, I would have gotten a 2000z except I got a 40 point drop in CR…

My math only went up from 600 to 610 with A LOT of studying and writing from 690-720 WITH NO STUDYING at all. How does this stuff happen. How will UCs look at this stagnant composite score? Two of my scores went up though…

@LOLBeast1‌

Yup, similar boat here. -1 math on a “normal” curve is around a 780, this test was a 750. Unless you aced math, it wasn’t a great score.

@Pacopowner. It seems like most did not score well on math. But the colleges won’t know that this curve was brutal, right? The only thing that they will know is the score, and if your score dropped, that is what they will see.

The math portion was easy. That is why the curve was brutal. If the math was harder, the curve will be nicer. It balances at the end. In a same boat with one wrong and 750.

2290:

CR: 720
M: 800
W: 77 MC 9 E, 770

I think I missed one in math. I THINK.

Is it worth retaking if I’m aiming for top schools?

@proguitar04‌ I wouldn’t retake it if I were you. Your scores will never be the reason a college rejects you if you submit your 2290. Only retake if you know for sure, absolutely that you will get a higher score, and that you’re getting that higher score for merit scholarships.

I got a 2240. Should i retake?

R: 730
M: 720
W:790

I think I did really well on math and Im pretty sure I got one wrong with one omit. I HATE THIS MATH CURVE!!!
WHAT IS THIS MATH CURVE!!

i really don’t want to sit through another test…

All these people complaining about a 2100+… And I am just sitting here derping with my 1870.

@Pandabear101‌

I think that your score is fine. I scored slightly under you, and I’m thinking about calling it a day with the SAT. I’m fairly sure that no college is going to reject someone who scores a 2200+ on the basis of their SAT score.

Honestly, nowadays I think standardized tests are now more a ‘check the box’ type of deal.

@Pandabear101 Your score is extremely good. I would not retake it if that was the highest score I got.

@Pandabear101 OMG yes this math curve 1 wrong = 750!!! I was looking at the past curves and like the lowest 1 wrong got you was a 760. What evennn

2350 :)

750 reading, 800 math, 800 writing

To the people who say you need to fill up two complete pages to get a 10+ on the essay:
I used 1 page and 2/3 of the back and got a 12.
What now?!

-13 CR gives you 630… is that generous or no?

We all knew the math curve was going to be harsh

The scoring reports came out today. It is confirmed that one wrong in Math is 750.

This is horrible. -3 math was a 680. Most brutal ever by like 20 or 30 points.

What is the curve for reading? I got 10 wrong and 1 omit for a 650.
